EX PRESIDENT CALLS ANTI-GRAFT BOSS "A BLOODY LIAR"

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has attacked ex EFCC Chairman Farida Waziri.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has just unloaded on Mrs. Farida Waziri who oversaw affairs at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from 2008 to 2011.

And let's just say it was Waziri who started it all. » How so? We can explain.
You know, Waziri recently said Jonathan fired her as EFCC boss because she went after an unnamed individual who was friends with the big boys in Aso Rock.

According to Waziri: "I came to Lagos on a vital intelligence on the (petrol) subsidy scam and as soon as I arrested a key culprit, I got a call from the Presidential Villa asking me to release the suspect, because, in their words, 'he is our person', but I refused to let him off and days after, I was removed from office."

Waziri also said she was very grateful to Jonathan for axing her at the time, because she couldn't stand the corruption of the Jonathan era no more.
"And that is why if I see President Jonathan today, I will kneel down to thank him for the honour done me by removing me as the EFCC Chairman at the time he did", Waziri said.
It took a couple of hours for Jonathan to hit back.

And the clap back arrived through his Twitter account @GEJonathan.
"If Farida is not telling lies she should mention the person or company she was investigating and she was stopped, let the EFCC investigate. Crime has no statute bar. If she can't then she was simply hired to attack me", Jonathan snarled.
Oh well, that escalated quickly.

Embattled Nigerian artiste, Dammy krane, appeared in court today for his bail hearing in the 9-count fraud charges leveled against him in the U.S. He was in court with Chukwuebuka, his accomplice. Chukwuebuka, who is claiming to be Dammy krane's show promoter, filed paperwork saying that he is indigent. The federal government has approved the closure of five foreign missions and embassies, minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama said. Onyeama told newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, May 25, 2017. The minister, who did not mention the embassies or missions, said the process for closure was underway and was also subject to the approval of the president.
