DERRY, N.H. —

Derry police said they believe they have found the body of John "Jack" Walsh, who disappeared 3 months ago.

Walsh, a resident of Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, went missing Dec. 13 when he walked away from Parkland Medical Center prior to treatment.

Police said an off-duty officer was hiking Friday morning when he discovered human remains in the wooded area about 200 yeards off Rockingham Road in Derry.

Police said the body was found in a swampy area next to Tributary G Brook, which passes under Rockingham Road near Bradford Street.

Investigators said the body had been there for an extended period of time and that there were no signs of foul play.

The body was taken to Concord, where the state medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity of the body found.

However, his family posted on a Facebook page dedicated to the search for Walsh, confirming that it was him.

The family also released the following statement to News 9.
"The family would like to thank the public for all their thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. We would also like to thank law enforcement in NH and Mass for all their efforts. Although this is not the outcome we prayed for, we are comforted by the fact we now have closure and he can be buried with our parents."

I usually do not write, talk or contribute to whatever it is that has to do with prisoners generally. But the post below has touched and drawn my attention to the suffering of the people involved even though I do not know them and in as much as I can not authenticate the post or source,I know and believe there are lots of Nigerians and other nationals in this very situation around Africa and the world. My concentration here is on Nigerians,in as much as I hardly feel for criminals (not saying all prisoners are guilty),we have a country very terrible, from our heartless shadow boxing pretender of a president Buhari to almost all of our senators and representatives nation wide, who abandon and ignore their very duties to serve Nigerians and instead concentra...

SHERIFF IS A CONTRACTOR BROUGHT INTO PDP DURING OUR TRYING TIME 29th Feb 2017, February 27 2017 Emeka Ihedioha, a former deputy speaker of the house of representatives, has described Ali Modu Sheriff as a contractor invited to help the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during its low point. He said Sheriff’s contract had long expired and that he has nothing to contribute to the opposition party’s development. Ihedioha told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt on Monday that Sheriff by his conduct had failed to show an attitude worthy of uniting and strengthening the party. According to him, the conduct, actions, language and temperament displayed by Sheriff has succeeded in planting disunity amongst members. “His utterances after the Appeal Court judgment in Port Harcourt created division in the party rather than unit members, this showed that he is not interested in the progress of our party,” he said. “Sheriff has nothi...
