Just 2 days after talking to Uhuru, Trump deports Kenyans

Emerging reports suggest that two Kenyans were Thursday, March 9 deported from the United States alongside dozens of Somali nationals.

Trump deports 2 Kenyans, strictly ensures they reach Nairobi

A plane carrying 70 Somali nationals among them 69 men and a woman also had two Kenyans on board.

Sources say that the plane landed at Mogadishu airport on Friday with the deported passengers handcuffed.
The two Kenyans are said to have then been airlifted to Nairobi on the same day. Their identities remain unclear whether they were Kenyans of Somali descent.

The deportation comes a couple of days after US President Donald Trump called President Uhuru Kenyatta on phone for the first time since the latter was elected.

The presidents discussed a number of issues among them the region's security and trade between their two countries.Trump's immigration policies have seen many immigrants deported from the US sparking protests from affected countries and on the US soil.

Nigerian security forces say they have foiled a plot by ISIS-linked Boko Haram militants to bomb the British High Commission and US Embassy in the capital Abuja. The Department of State Services announced that it had arrested five suspects who were planning attacks. A DSS official said a suspected Boko Haram member who was arrested on March 22, in north-eastern Yobe state, confessed details of the plot. 30 NEW ILLEGAL REFINERIES FOUND IN RIVERS STATE

Victor Choji, the Executive Officer of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Pathfinder, Port Harcourt, said this during the destruction of one of the illegal refineries on Thursday. He said all the refineries were discovered in Asari Toru Local Government area of Rivers, with 40 huge metallic storage tanks . The News Agency of Nigeria reports that some of the storage tanks were filled with petroleum products suspected to be diesel and crude oil. Choji noted that the discovery was in continuation of the current mop-up of illegal refineries and illicit bunkering of petroleum products by crude oil thieves.
