Magistrate David King was accused of posting details of a court case on social media

A magistrate has been reprimanded after posting a Facebook message about a court case he had overseen.

 David King, who sits in courts in Portsmouth, south-east Hampshire, was investigated by a watchdog after a complaint.

 A Judicial Conduct Investigations Office spokesman said judicial heads had concluded that Mr King's behaviour "fell below the standard expected of a magistrate".
The spokesman said Mr King had been issued with a reprimand.

 Detail has emerged in a statement posted on the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office website.

 The statement gave no indication what Mr King's message had said.

FORMER SHELTON MANAGER ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY ASSAULTING EMPLOYEES

The former manager of a Shelton restaurant is accused of sexually harassing employees and touching them inappropriately. Police started the investigation in March 2016 when three female employees of Dee's Kitchen at 509 Howe Ave. in Shelton went to police to report that 58-year-old Bryan Stockbridge, of Ansonia, was sexually harassing them and had touched them inappropriately on several occasions. Detectives quickly obtained an arrest warrant, but they could not apprehend him, police said. They then obtained information that Stockbridge fled to California after an interview with detectives. Shelton police obtained information today that Stockbridge was back in Connecticut, living in Ansonia, and they took him into custody. Stockbridge has been charged with three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault. He posted a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Derby Superior Court tomorrow.

45-year-old Nigerian man Paul Gabriel Amos, who had previously been charged in a United States court for swindling Citibank was charged in a district court, Singapore on Wednesday, October 25 with laundering S$1.7 million. On October last year, Amos went viral after he was arrested for reckless and dangerous driving. Amos, who is a Permanent Resident in Singapore and married to a citizen, also faces eight charges under the Corruption, Drug Trafficking and Other Serious Crimes (Confiscation of Benefits) Act. Justice Ibrahim Buba of a Federal High Court in Lagos has issued an Anton Piller order, directing the seizure of a film titled "Okafor's Law" directed by Nollywood Producer, Omoni Oboli. The court also issued an interim order, suspending the release and launch of the film, in any movie theatre or cinema house on March 31, pending the determination of a motion on notice before the court. The judge ordered the seizure of all copies, materials, projections or infringing materials, relating to the subject matter. The orders followed an ex parte application filed by a company, Rancoteur Productions Ltd, on behalf of a Canada based script writer, Jude Idada. Idada lays claim to the film "Okafor's Law" as his intellectual property. Barely one week after a policeman lost his service rifle to unknown gunmen, another policeman has been attacked and killed by unidentified hoodlums in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. The unnamed policeman was reportedly killed in a beer parlour in the state capital. It was learnt that the hoodlums stole a police AK47 rifle after murdering the policeman at one of the relaxation spots on Hospital Road area. Former minister of state for defence,Senator Musiliu Obanikoro had refunded a fresh sum of N30m to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,with a promise to return N417m.
