A senior at Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg, North Carolina was recently suspended for wearing a shirt that showed her collarbones.  Summer, an honor roll student with a 4.4 GPA, told NBC Charlotte that she was sitting in the cafeteria last week when the school’s principal asked her to put on a jacket because her shirt went against the school’s dress code. According to NBC Charlotte, Summer’s shirt partially showed her shoulders and exposed her back. Although Summer reportedly told her principal she thought her shirt was “fine” to wear at school, she complied with the principal’s request and put on a jacket. Unfortunately, the principal was still not satisfied and asked Summer to change her outfit all together. “I completely understand why a dress code is put into place but I feel like after I put on that jacket it should have been subdued,” Summer told NBC Charlotte. Devon Arthurs, 18, faces a number of charges, including two counts of first-degree murder. A onetime white supremacist in Tampa, Florida, claims he killed two neo-Nazi friends because they objected to his newfound Muslim faith, police said. Devon Arthurs, 18, of Tampa, was apprehended Friday. He is accused of taking three hostages at a Tampa Palms smoke shop, according to a copy of the police report. After police talked Arthurs into surrendering, he made references to “Allah Mohammed” and said, “I had to do it. This wouldn’t have had to happen if your country didn’t bomb my country,” Tampa police reported. Arthurs is a U.S. citizen. When an officer asked Arthurs if anyone was hurt, he reportedly replied, “The people in the apartment, but they ain’t hurt, they’re dead … they’re definitely dead.” Authorities say Arthurs then led investigators to his New Tampa apartment, where they found the bullet-riddled bodies of his roommates, 18-year-old Andrew Oneschuk and 22-year-old Jere...

Authorities don't suspect a man whose remains were found on a bank of the South Umpqua River died of foul play, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. The agency announced Monday that authorities have wrapped up their investigation into the death of Brian David Clark, a Myrtle Creek resident whose remains were found on the riverbank last Monday. The agency didn't say specifically how he died. PHOTO USED FOR MERE ILLUSTRATION Clark had been reported missing to the sheriff's office in December, the agency said in a news release. He was 43 at the time. A 911 caller reported walking in the area of the riverbank — near milepost 108 on Interstate 5 in Myrtle Creek — and seeing what looked to be human remains, the sheriff's office said. Authorities arrived and confirmed the remains were human.

CORVALLIS — Authorities say multiple people were injured when they were stabbed by a man who entered a home near Oregon State University. Corvallis police Lt. Daniel Duncan says the man fled the residence Monday morning, but officers found him near the Benton County Senior Center. He was taken to the hospital after his arrest for reasons that have not been disclosed. The man's name has not been released. Oregon State University spokesman Steve Clark says a current student and a former student were among four people who suffered stab wounds. Police have yet to confirm the number of victims.

A 25-year-old unemployed, Sunday Salami, on Monday appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Monday for alleged rape. The accused is facing a charge of allegedly raping his neighbour’s daughter. The prosecutor, Insp. Clifford Ogu, told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 11 in his residence at Buraimo Street, Bariga in Lagos State. Ogu said that the accused invited a 14-year-old girl, daughter of his neighbor, into his room on the pretext that he was sending her on an errand. “The accused shut the door at her and raped her,’’ he said. Ogu said that the girl told her mother, who reported the case to the police which led to the arrest of the accused. The offence contravened Section 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. A 6-man kidnap gang has been smashed by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly luring a man, Femi Olatunji, from his home in the Isheri area of Ogun State to Igbokoda, Ondo State, where they killed him after collecting a ransom.  The suspects’ names were given as Fadeni Henry, Lebile Olatunji, Ehuwa Oririe, Olotu Tosin, Oluwole Ohunayo, and Peter Omogbemi.
