CORVALLIS HOME KNIFE ATTACKER ARRESTED,POLICE SAY

CORVALLIS — Authorities say multiple people were injured when they were stabbed by a man who entered a home near Oregon State University.

 Corvallis police Lt. Daniel Duncan says the man fled the residence Monday morning, but officers found him near the Benton County Senior Center. He was taken to the hospital after his arrest for reasons that have not been disclosed.

 The man's name has not been released.

 Oregon State University spokesman Steve Clark says a current student and a former student were among four people who suffered stab wounds. Police have yet to confirm the number of victims.

Kenneth Manzanares attacked his wife, Kristy, inside their cabin aboard the Emerald Princess cruise ship Tuesday night, according to an affidavit filed Wednesday in Alaska federal court. 72-year-old Clarence White who got fed up of his wife complaining about his inability to satisfy her sexually or financially ended up pulling the trigger on her. The man is said to have grabbed a 22-caliber handgun and shot his much-younger wife in the face at their Bronx home on Thursday morning.
