CORVALLIS HOME KNIFE ATTACKER ARRESTED,POLICE SAY

CORVALLIS — Authorities say multiple people were injured when they were stabbed by a man who entered a home near Oregon State University.

 Corvallis police Lt. Daniel Duncan says the man fled the residence Monday morning, but officers found him near the Benton County Senior Center. He was taken to the hospital after his arrest for reasons that have not been disclosed.

 The man's name has not been released.

 Oregon State University spokesman Steve Clark says a current student and a former student were among four people who suffered stab wounds. Police have yet to confirm the number of victims.

Members of Boko Haram Boko Haram insurgents have killed six men in a village in northeast Nigeria on Tuesday in what appeared to be a targeted reprisal attack. A militia fighting the group said nine Boko Haram fighters allegedly entered Kijimatari, a village in north-east Borno state, at around 2 am (0100 GMT), breaking into the homes of six men including the village chief before slitting their throats.
