The Department of State Security (DSS), Sunday Tribune gathered, has invited the General overseer of the Omega Fire Assembly, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, over the statement purportedly credited to him on the farmer/herdsmen crisis during a sermon in Ekiti State.
Suleiman’s invitation, according to sources, has been slated for tomorrow.But the GO of Omega Fire Assembly in an interview with Sunday Tribune, said he was not afraid of any invitation by the state security service.According to him, he was ready to honour the invitation of the service once such followed due legal process. (Read full interview on page 38).The cleric was reported to have told his congregation to retaliate any attack by Fulani herdsmen against them in a video that went viral recently.The operatives of the DSS almost arrested him in Ekiti in an exercise described as  Gestapo style, but which was foiled by the state governor, Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose.Culled from Tribune

FORMER BBC STUDIO CORDONED OFF AFTER MAN'S BODY WAS DISCOVERED

A man’s body has been discovered on the former BBC studios site in Manchester city centre. The body was found this morning at the building site on Oxford Road, which is currently being transformed into student flats. Greater Manchester Police have been called to the scene and the area has been taped off. Forensics officers have also been seen combing the area. Police are working to establish the circumstances behind the man’s death. The victim is believed to have been discovered by building site staff on Monday morning. It is thought he gained access to the building site over the weekend. A statement from GMP said: “Shortly before 7:50am on Monday, May 8, 2017, police were called to reports that a body had been found on Oxford Road in Manchester city centre. “Enquiries are on-going to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.” It is understood building staff working on the site have been told to stop working until further notice. A prophet of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C & S) Church in Lagos, Mr. Alimi Isaiah, 55, has been arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly being in possession of human skull and a horn. The prophet was arraigned on a count charge of unlawfully having human skull in his possession. ‎The prosecutor, Sunday Ogunremi said the accused on 5 May, 2017 at Sango road, Ibadan magisterial district, did unlawfully have in his possession one human skull. ‎ According to the prosecutor, the offences contravened sections 329(A) Criminal Code, Cap. 38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State of Nigeria 2000. ‎Meanwhile, the accused, in his confessional statement, told the police that he is a prophet at the Cherubim and Seraphim (C & S) Church in Lagos, but that he learned machine repair job, but did not complete his apprenticeship before his friend lured him to join the pastoral job. Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has backed out of his planned talks with the South-East Governors Forum » . The IPOB leader had met with the governors at the Enugu State Government House on August 30, 2017 said his decision was informed by the prevailing situation in the South East. "Accordingly, we will not engage in any meeting with anybody until the atmosphere is conducive and peaceful enough to allow for such, " he said. Christian Nwosu An ex - Administrative Secretary with the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mr. Christian Nwosu , on Thursday alleged that he was cajoled into confessing to taking a bribe of N 30m to compromise the 2015 general elections. Barely one week after a policeman lost his service rifle to unknown gunmen, another policeman has been attacked and killed by unidentified hoodlums in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. The unnamed policeman was reportedly killed in a beer parlour in the state capital. It was learnt that the hoodlums stole a police AK47 rifle after murdering the policeman at one of the relaxation spots on Hospital Road area. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, reportedly created pandemonium in the area known for prostitution and forced many restaurants to temporarily shut down their business. Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has drawn a line on hate speech affirming that it is equivalent to terrorism and would be appropriately dealt with by the Federal Government. Drawing inspiration from the Prevention of Terrorism Act (As Amended) 2011, Osinbajo said that such hate speeches intentionally done to intimidate the population is tantamount to terrorism.
