The Department of State Security (DSS), Sunday Tribune gathered, has invited the General overseer of the Omega Fire Assembly, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, over the statement purportedly credited to him on the farmer/herdsmen crisis during a sermon in Ekiti State.
Suleiman’s invitation, according to sources, has been slated for tomorrow.But the GO of Omega Fire Assembly in an interview with Sunday Tribune, said he was not afraid of any invitation by the state security service.According to him, he was ready to honour the invitation of the service once such followed due legal process. (Read full interview on page 38).The cleric was reported to have told his congregation to retaliate any attack by Fulani herdsmen against them in a video that went viral recently.The operatives of the DSS almost arrested him in Ekiti in an exercise described as  Gestapo style, but which was foiled by the state governor, Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose.Culled from Tribune

Over 25 INEC officials in hospital after Rivers rerun attack February 27 2017, Feb ruary  2 7 2017, The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday said more than 25 of its staff members were receiving medical attention as a result of attacks suffered during Saturday’s supplementary election in Etche local government area of Rivers state. A mother in Houston, Texas has been charged to court for torturing her child for three hours straight because she was jealous that the child’s father got a new girlfriend. The mother decided to carry out her rage on her 1-year-old son after which she sent the video to her ex-boyfriend, the child’s father, to punish him. Jamelle Peterkin, 23, placed a plastic bag over her toddler’s head then proceeded to inflict burns on him with a lighter. In the distressing video, Jamelle can be heard saying to her son Jaiden “tell your daddy” as she flicked the lighter and put the flames to the baby’s hand. The baby’s screams did not deter her from torturing him, instead, it spurred her to hit him as he cried some more.
