The Department of State Security (DSS), Sunday Tribune gathered, has invited the General overseer of the Omega Fire Assembly, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, over the statement purportedly credited to him on the farmer/herdsmen crisis during a sermon in Ekiti State.
Suleiman’s invitation, according to sources, has been slated for tomorrow.But the GO of Omega Fire Assembly in an interview with Sunday Tribune, said he was not afraid of any invitation by the state security service.According to him, he was ready to honour the invitation of the service once such followed due legal process. (Read full interview on page 38).The cleric was reported to have told his congregation to retaliate any attack by Fulani herdsmen against them in a video that went viral recently.The operatives of the DSS almost arrested him in Ekiti in an exercise described as  Gestapo style, but which was foiled by the state governor, Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose.Culled from Tribune

Senator Dino Melaye The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has withdrawn its motion seeking an order of the Federal High Court in Abuja allowing it to serve the recall petition on the Senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye. Justice Nnamdi Dimgba struck out the motion after INEC’s lawyer, Yunus Ustaz (SAN), announced its withdrawal in court on Thursday. The judge also directed that all issues pertaining to the case should thereafter be taken to the Court of Appeal. He noted that since Melaye’s appeal against the court’s September 11 judgment had been entered at the Court of Appeal, all pending applications, including the ones filed by Melaye for stay of execution of the verdict, should be taken to the Court of Appeal. Plane crash. FILE At least four people were killed on Saturday when a propeller-engine cargo plane crashed in the sea near the International Airport in Abidjan, a Reuters witness said. Six others were believed to have been injured in the crash of the Antonov aircraft which police said had 10 people on board. Rescue workers removed two bodies from the plane, which had broken into several pieces and came to rest near the beach. This comes as an investigative effort by the police following Caroline's allegation that Davido abandoned Tagbo's body in the hospital.
