THE 2 DEAD KIDNAPPERS BEHIND A POLICE VAN
Two suspected kidnappers were shot dead during a gun duel with the police along Factory Road, Aba, Abia State on Monday, April 17. 


Another wounded suspect was apprehended at the hospital where he had gone to receive treatment.
According to an eye witness, the suspects had kidnapped a couple heading home from church but luck ran out on them when the wife sighted some officers on patrol and raised alarm.

 “This is the first time I am commending our Uniform men for their swift response.They saved the situation and there was nothing like stray bullets.I was an eye witness, everything happened just in front of me. It was a scary scene, the gun shots were something else. I couldn’t hold my breathe, it was like a war. Before we left the scene, the guy on shirt was still alive.I watch them shoot the other guy dead.I couldn’t get hold of my phone when the whole thing was happening because of the gun shots.The video I recorded couldn’t upload here.


 “For those asking for more details, they double crossed a couple coming back from church in their Infinity Jeep with their Toyota corolla, kidnapped them but luck ran out of them when the wife sighted some officers on patrol and raised alarm.The armed robbers released some gun shots and the officers replied and they started exchanging shots.

 They rescued the couple,killed one of the boys instantly and shot the other on his legs. The other guy ran away with bullet wounds on his hand but was later apprehended in the hospital where he went for treatment because the doctor called the police.I really thank God for saving my family and I, no other person was injured or killed by stray bullets. I witnessed the whole thing right in front of me”

The whistle blowing policy of the Federal Government appears to be paying off as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday announced that it uncovered foreign currencies and Naira notes to the tune of $43.4 million, £27,800 and N23.2 million at a four-bedroom apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos. The total amount of money recovered at the current Central Bank exchange rate is over N13 billion. The operation followed a confidential information received by the Commission's Lagos office regarding some suspicious movement of bags in and out of a particular apartment in the building. A suspected ritual killer, Adebayo Mudashiru, has confessed that he and his colleagues buy human parts, including skulls, eyes and teeth, for N12,000. The suspect was arrested alongside three others in the Abeokuta and Owode Egba areas of the state by men of the Ogun State Police Command. The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, paraded the suspects at the headquarters of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Magbon, Abeokuta over the weekend. Iliyasu said the four suspects specialized in killing for ritual purposes and belonged to two different ritual groups.
