 Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials have confirmed that three people were, on Saturday, May 14, killed in an accident that happened along the Mazuga village, 10 kilometres away from Kachia-Kafanchan Road, Kaduna state.

  News Agency of Nigerian (NAN) reports that the rescue operation carried out by the men of the sector command recovered five locally-made AK47 rifles and a magazine from one of the vehicles. 

 3 dies as FRCS recovers AK47 rifles in accident An FRSC official said: “In another development, on Saturday, May 12, at Mazuga Village, 10 kilometres from Kachia – Kafanchan road, another accident happened involving two vehicles an Audi Salon car, with number plate AG 601 MKR and an Opel Vectra with no registration number.

  “This happened at about 16.07hrs. Our men quickly rushed to the place and found out that some good Samaritans had already started bringing the victims out of the damaged vehicles. Seven persons were involved, three persons died, while four persons were injured. 

 “In addition, five locally-made AK47 rifles and a magazine were found in the Audi Salon car, whose driver, Mr. Sabo Goni, was still alive but injured. The police at Kachia were quickly alerted. “The recovered arms were handed over to the DPO, Kachia Division for further investigation.” 

 There was an earlier report that a man on Sunday morning, April 30, lost his limb in an accident between a red Toyota and a commercial bus otherwise known as ‘Danfo’. The victim, who was a passenger in the danfo bus, sat in front when the accident happened. His limb was reported to have falling into the lagoon after the bus sustained a heavy crash with a private car on the bridge.

FORMER BBC STUDIO CORDONED OFF AFTER MAN'S BODY WAS DISCOVERED

A man’s body has been discovered on the former BBC studios site in Manchester city centre. The body was found this morning at the building site on Oxford Road, which is currently being transformed into student flats. Greater Manchester Police have been called to the scene and the area has been taped off. Forensics officers have also been seen combing the area. Police are working to establish the circumstances behind the man’s death. The victim is believed to have been discovered by building site staff on Monday morning. It is thought he gained access to the building site over the weekend. A prophet of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C & S) Church in Lagos, Mr. Alimi Isaiah, 55, has been arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly being in possession of human skull and a horn. Barely one week after a policeman lost his service rifle to unknown gunmen, another policeman has been attacked and killed by unidentified hoodlums in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. The unnamed policeman was reportedly killed in a beer parlour in the state capital. It was learnt that the hoodlums stole a police AK47 rifle after murdering the policeman at one of the relaxation spots on Hospital Road area. Christian Nwosu An ex - Administrative Secretary with the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mr. Christian Nwosu , on Thursday alleged that he was cajoled into confessing to taking a bribe of N 30m to compromise the 2015 general elections.
