TWO COPS KILLED BY YET TO BE IDENTIFIED GUNMEN

Two Policemen have been shot dead along Okene-Ogori-Mangogo road in Kogi Central by unknown gunmen.

 It was reliably gathered that the two Policemen were on duty in the early hours of today when they were attacked by the gunmen.

 Sources close to the Kogi State Police Command told our correspondent that the suspected killers went away with their AK-47 adding that the command has taken moves to arrest the gunmen.

 The Kogi State Police Commissioner, Wilson Inalegwu while confirming the killings said that it was a sad day for the command, adding that it was on the trail of the perpetrators.

 He assured members of the public that they will arrest the killers in the next few days.

 Also speaking, the administrator of Ogori-Mangogo Local Government Council, Mr. Moses Akande said it was unfortunate that the two policemen were killed by unknown gunmen when they were on duty.

 He urged the state Police command to do everything possible to arrest the criminals.

In a bid to improve working conditions in the city’s sex industry, a brothel run by prostitutes themselves will be opened today by the mayor of Amsterdam. An initiative of the city council, the new brothel occupies 14 “windows” across four buildings on the so-called Wallen, Amsterdam’s red light district. Police officer who fostered a 14-year-old girl after she was rescued from child sex abuse went on to abuse her himself, a court heard. Social workers placed the teenager in the care of the serving Metropolitan Police officer and his wife and moved her 300 miles to live with the couple.
