The Managing Director of the Motel, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mustapha-Rifun, who conducted newsmen round the motel on Saturday, expressed shock over the incidence. He described it as a setback to his efforts toward giving the edifice a face-lift. Former minister of state for defence,Senator Musiliu Obanikoro had refunded a fresh sum of N30m to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,with a promise to return N417m. Punch quoted a source as saying that Obanikoro transferred the said sum from his Diamond Bank account to the EFCC Recovered Funds Account. According to the source, “I can confirm that Senator Obanikoro has been meeting up his part of the agreement. You will recall that last year, he promised to return a certain amount of money every quarter. “He has made a payment of N30m, his first instalment in 2017. LEEDS, Ala. A 12-year-old girl died Sunday after authorities believe she was accidentally shot by a family member during a gathering in Alabama, according to multiple reports. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the girl as Kayla Mendenhall, AL.com reported. Authorities told the news site that Kayla and an adult family member were wrestling when a gun worn by the adult discharged. Kayla was shot in the upper leg and died at a hospital. Police declined to comment further on the investigation.
