PREMIUM TIMES reported the violence, between Hausas and Igbos in a part of Jos , which was caused by a disagreement on the appropriateness or otherwise of the violence in Abia involving soldiers and members of a pro-Biafra separatist group, IPOB. On Friday, the governor who had declared a dusk to dawn curfew in Jos , met with community and religious leaders at the government house Jos. Niger police arrest 194 suspects,recover 48 weapons February 13, 2017 The Niger State Police Command said it arrested 194 suspects and recovered over 48 dangerous weapons from criminals in parts of the state. The state Commissioner of Police, Zubairu Muazu, told Northern City News in Minna, that the suspects were arrested within a month and that aerial surveillance and ground raids carried out by his command to end the incessant attacks in some communities of the state culminated in the arrests and recovery of assorted weapons. SAPULPA, Okla. - Police say an elementary school teacher was arrested on multiple charges after accidentally leaving her Facebook page open on a school computer. Officers were called to Holmes Park Elementary School on Monday after a teacher found Megan Sloan's Facebook page open on a computer, according to KOKI-TV. Authorities say the page featured a conversation where Sloan reportedly asked about using and selling heroin. Detectives told KOKI that during the investigation, Sloan allegedly admitted to pawning two iPads that belonged to the school district. She also reportedly admitted to using money from field trips for gas and drugs. When officers searched Sloan's purse, they allegedly found syringes and substances that tested positive for meth and heroin. 72-year-old Actor John Heard, who played the role of Peter McCallister in hit 90s movies Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, was reportedly found dead in his hotel room. Though the cause of his death has not yet been made public, however TMZ reports that the police was called to the actor’s Palo Alto, California hotel room for a medical emergency, but Heard was pronounced dead on arrival. The actor who was recuperating in the hotel after undergoing a “mino r back surgery” on Wednesday at Stanford Medical Center, was married to actress Margot Kidder for less than a week in 1979. This is really shocking. A teenage girl from Imo State identified as Chidinma Iheoma was caught by security operatives with human head. According to the security men, the head which was detached from the deceased body – was found with the girl who carried it in a bag before she was apprehended. When quizzed by security operatives in a video footage posted online, she initially claimed she was on her way to bury the head but later disclosed that her friend was the person who cut the head and that she has killed two people so far.

FIVE MEN ALLEGEDLY GANG-RAPE LADY PUBLICLY

Five men have gang raped a 21-year-old woman on her way to work. The incident occurred around 5.30am at Irawo area of Owode Onirin, Ikorodu, Lagos. She was seized on her way to the bus terminal and taken to a corner where the men took turns in raping her. PM Express reports that she reported the matter to her parents who notified the police. The police have arrested one of the suspects, 21-year-old Mathew Odunayo. He has been arraigned before an Ogba Magistrates Court for sexual assault and unlawful penetration. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum. The presiding magistrate, JA Abegun, adjourned the case till 19 May.
