VIRAL VIDEO MAKING ROUNDS OF NOLLYWOOD STAR TONTO DIKE'S FAMILY RETURNING HER BRIDE PRICE TO ESTRANGED HUBBY'S FAMILY

Tonto DikehA video has surfaced online showing the family of Nollywood superstar Tonto Dikeh returning the bride price paid on her by the family of her estranged husband, Olakunle Churchhill.

The union of Tonto Dikeh and Churchhill, which started in 2015, has been enmeshed in controversies and rumours since the start of 2017.

The actress accused Churchhill of infidelity, while on his part, Chrchhill and his mother allegedly claimed that Tonto Dikeh was also unfaithful.

In the video published by Media Room Hub, the father of the Nollywood star, Sunny Dikeh, and Chrchhill's uncle, Bishop Dare, headed their respective families at the ceremony.

Dikeh's family read a letter to notify Churchhill's family that the family was ready to back out of the marriage.

After the letter was read, both representatives took turns to sign a document indicating that the traditional marriage between the couple has been annulled.

Sunny Dikeh then handed over the bride price to Churchhill's family, which was said to be in accordance with Churchhill's request.

Egypt on Thursday blocked 21 websites, including Qatari news network Al Jazeera and Islamist-affiliated platforms, following in the footsteps of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Among those blocked since Wednesday evening is the website of the now-banned Muslim Brotherhood, Ikhwan Online, according to a report in the privately owned Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper. All websites blocked contain material that “support terrorism and extremism as well as publish lies,” a security source was quoted as saying. Communal clash claims lives in Taraba Several people lost their lives and several houses torched in a renewed violence that broke out, yesterday, in Taraba State. Locals stated that the Tuesday’s violence started around 2 a.m. when two villages, Bonja and Mayo-Kunga belonging to Fulani ethnic group, were allegedly attacked by suspected Mummuye youths,the attack on the Mayo-Kunga village led to reprisal attacks on neighbouring communities. Plane crash. FILE At least four people were killed on Saturday when a propeller-engine cargo plane crashed in the sea near the International Airport in Abidjan, a Reuters witness said. Six others were believed to have been injured in the crash of the Antonov aircraft which police said had 10 people on board. Rescue workers removed two bodies from the plane, which had broken into several pieces and came to rest near the beach. MOTHER ARRESTED FOR BEATING TEENAGE SON TO DEATH

A housewife, Bisola Olukoya, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing her 16-year-old son. The Command's Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident to PREMIUM TIMES on Friday said the suspect committed the crime at Onifade-Itele town of the state. "One Mrs Bisola Olukoya of NO 40, Ifelodun Street Onifade Itele has been arrested by the Ogun State Command for beating her 16 years old son Toheeb Olukoya to death," the police spokesperson said. Mr. Oyeyemi said the incident happened on March 17. He said the suspect, while beating the deceased, used a plank to hit him on the head, after which the boy fell down and died.
