Constitutional and human rights lawyer Festus Keyamo has said former President Goodluck Jonathan has knowledge about some of the monies  allegedly stolen by the ex-Petroleum Minister, Dieziani Alison-Madueke.

Keyamo, in a series of tweets on Thursday, called for the dismantling of the "warped system" at the NNPC, if such looting must be checked.

"The big unanswered question: is it possible one Minister allegedly stole so much without the knowledge, connivance & approval of the C-in-C?

"Without first dismantling the warped system at the NNPC, what we accuse Diezani of will continue unchecked. It would just be turn-by-turn

"This is not about PDP or APC. It is about a strange system that cannot know so much has been stolen until a foreign entity reveals it to us," he wrote.

The 82 rescued Chibok girls when they were received by President Muhammadu Buhari Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday May 17 confirmed that another Chibok schoolgirl had been found, 12 days after the release of the 82 abducted girls by their captors.  It was gathered that Femi Adesina, President Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, who made this known Wednesday May 17 in Abuja, said the recovery of the girl was announced by the acting president during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday.   According to him, the affected girl had been brought to Abuja to join her colleagues who were rescued from captivity. Months after an initial interception, another container filled with arms has been discovered at the Tin Can Island Port in Lagos, the Nigeria Customs has declared on Tuesday. A source at the port said the container was found at the Ports and Cargo Terminal of the Tin Can Island Ports. “As I speak to you, they’ve ordered everyone to go out of the terminal and they have locked up everywhere,” the source said. The spokesperson of the Nigeria Customs, Tin Can Island Command, Uche Ejesieme, confirmed the incident and said details would be made public later. “We are still counting,” Mr. Ejesieme told Premium Times over the phone.
