GROUP GIVES BUHARI THREE WEEKS TO RETURN TO NIGERIA

File: President Buhari has been in London on medical leave for over three months

Anti-Buhari protesters #ResumeOrResign movement has said it would take President Muhammadu Buhari  to court should he fail to return to Nigeria within 21 days.

The group vowed in a statement that it would go to court to seek an order of mandamus to compel the Federal Executive Council to set up a committee to appraise the health of the president.

London vigil

It further announced that during this time, it will hold its sit-out at the Freedom Park, Ojota, between 9-10a.m each day.

A vigil will also be held in front of the Abuja House in London on Friday, August 18, commencing at 1700hrs.

The statement was signed by Charles Oputa, Leader, #ResumeOrResign Movement, for Our Mumu Don Do Movement; Deji Adeyanju Co-Convener, #ResumeOrResign, for Concerned Nigerians; and Ariyo-Dare Atoye, Co-Convener, #ResumeOrResign, for Coalition in Defence of Nigerian Democracy and Constitution (CDNDC).

President Buhari has been out of the country for over hundred days on medical leave.

NIGERIAN UN WORKER ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED STRINGS OF BANK ROBBERIES IN NEW YORK(PHOTOS)

          A 53-year-old Nigerian man who works at the United Nations was arrested in connection with a string of bank robberies in Manhattan, over the past month and a half, law enforcement sources tell News 4 New York. The NYPD’s Major Case Squad arrested Abdullahi Shuaibu, of Queens, on Monday, April 17th, at his office at the Foreign Press Centers across from the United Nations building. Police believe he robbed banks while on work breaks.          Law enforcement sources say Shuaibu robbed a HSBC bank at 40th Street and Third Avenue on Monday and then returned to work shortly before he was arrested.They say he’s wanted in at least three other bank robberies.          Shuaibu is listed as a communication specialist at the U.N. John Cena sold his new Ford GT car, but the company was not happy with his move. Ford is taking legal actions by suing the "American Grit" star for violating their contract by selling his new $500k 2017 Ford GT. According to the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Michigan, Cena was "selected from thousands of applicants for the opportunity to purchase the Ford GT," TMZ reported. The "Total Bellas" star signed a deal where he agreed to hold onto the car for at least two years before he can unload it. CONOR McGREGOR A judge in Ireland ripped into Conor McGregor on Thursday for his "disrespect to the court" after the famous fighter showed up tardy to pay a speeding ticket. McGregor had previously failed to show up twice for his court appearance over the ticket, and it was looking like he was going to make it a third time before he finally showed. In the time that she was waiting for him, judge Miriam Walsh of the Blanchardstown District Court vented about the disrespect the fighter was showing.
