MAN GUNNED DOWN AT HIS DOORSTEP

On Sunday, August 21, around 9:35 pm , police visited Neal's Pen Road Extension, Belize City where they saw blood in some bushes next to a wooden house.
Investigation revealed that about
9:33 p.m., Ryan Thompson, 24, arrived at his house and was about to open his door when a person fired several shots at him causing his injuries.
Thompson succumbed to his injuries at 2:56 a.m. on Monday.
Police have one person detained as investigation continues.

MAN IN CUSTODY FOR ASSAULT ON PREGNANT WOMAN February 22, 2017; An Osun Magistrate Court sitting in Ile-Ife has docked one Dayo Adebayo, 29, for alleged assault on a pregnant woman.   The prosecutor, Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the accused committed the offence on February 13, around 11:45 pm at Ehindi Street, Ile-Ife.Osanyintuyi, said Adebayo assaulted the woman named Blessing Monday, by hitting her with his fist across her face, causing various injuries.He added that the offence was contrary to and punishable under section 356 of the Criminal Code (Cap 34 Vol 11), Laws of Osun, 2002. CINCINNATI –  Police say an Ohio man and his girlfriend restrained, gagged and taped his 4-year-old twin boys to a wall. WLWT-TV reports James Howell Jr. and his girlfriend, Jamie Carver, have been charged with two counts of kidnapping and child endangering. Both were released on bond after a hearing Tuesday. Howell's children have been placed with a foster family by Hamilton County Job and Family Services. Police responded to a Cincinnati apartment Sunday afternoon. Investigators say Howell and Carver had bound the children with a belt and shoelaces. Police say the boys had also been gagged with socks and stuck to a wall with duct tape in the apartment. Attorneys for the couple were not available immediately for comment.

The man, who is an employee of the Dhaka City Corporation, has to unblock the city’s sewer lines without any proper safety equipment. He often has to go dig around underground with only a long stick to help him and with no mask to protect him from the poisonous fumes the sewage emits. Scooping out liquid filth with his bare hands, the hardy worker has the thankless task of clawing out blockages in the bustling Bangladeshi capital. Dhaka has a population in excess of 14 million and has recently been hit by major floods caused by heavy rains and an insufficient storm drainage system.
