BENUE YOUTHS DEFILE ELDERS,BURN 2 MOTORBIKE THIEVES TO DEATH

Two young men were on Thursday stoned to death in Aliede area of Benue State for allegedly stealing a motorcycle.
One of the victims was identified as Labister, a native of Tiv tribe, while the other whose identity could not be ascertained at the moment hailed from Idoma speaking part of the state.

We learnt that the suspects were caught with a stolen motorcycle Thursday afternoon and were killed by angry community youths.

An eyewitness said that efforts by the community elders to rescue the young men and hand them over to the police were futile as the mob insisted on killing them so it could serve as a deterrent to others.

Several efforts to reach the Benue Police PRO failed as his phones rang endlessly and unanswered.

A mother in Houston, Texas has been charged to court for torturing her child for three hours straight because she was jealous that the child’s father got a new girlfriend. Jamelle Peterkin, 23, placed a plastic bag over her toddler’s head then proceeded to inflict burns on him with a lighter.
