BREAKING NEWS ;DSS FINALLY BRINGS DASUKI TO COURT OVER METUH'S TRIAL

The Department of State Service, DSS, on Wednesday brought former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, to an Abuja Federal High Court.

The development was in compliance with an order by the court.
Dasuki decked in a light blue attire with a cap to match arrived the court in company of DSS operatives, ahead of the commencement of the trial of Olisah Metuh, former spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Metuh is on trial before Justice Okon Abang for allegedly receiving the sum of N400m from the Office of the NSA under the leadership of Dasuki before the 2015 presidential election.

2 ARMED ROBBERS SHOT DEAD DURING GUN BATTLE WITH POLICE

Two armed robbers were reportedly shot dead in a gun battle with the Kano State Police command and gang of robbers who shot a Police Patrol vehicle along Kano/Zaria road at a point close to Garun Mallam Village arrested. This was revealed in a statement signed by the command 's spokesperson , DSP . Magaji Musa Majia . According to him , the superior response officers attached to the Patrol van gunned down the robbers and sent the rest running. He further stated that one locally made AK 47 rifle , 1 revolver pistol, 12 live ammunition , charms and torchlight were recovered. A bloody clash between the army and police in Nigeria's restive northeastern Yobe state on Wednesday left one soldier and three police dead, a security source told AFP.  The police confirmed the fracas in the state capital of Damaturu, but did not say if there were casualties.  "The Nigeria police force is abreast of the unfortunate incident that occurred in the early hours of today 12th April, 2017 in Damaturu between the personnel of the force and that of the Nigerian army," police spokesman Jimoh Moshood said in a statement.  He said an investigation had been launched to determine "the causes of the incident and deal with the situation appropriately to prevent such occurrence in the future".  The army authorities were not immediately available for comment. She was a 25-year-old dark-haired former beauty queen, her high school's first Latina drum majorette, the first in her family to graduate from college.
