BREAKING NEWS ;DSS FINALLY BRINGS DASUKI TO COURT OVER METUH'S TRIAL

The Department of State Service, DSS, on Wednesday brought former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, to an Abuja Federal High Court.

The development was in compliance with an order by the court.
Dasuki decked in a light blue attire with a cap to match arrived the court in company of DSS operatives, ahead of the commencement of the trial of Olisah Metuh, former spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Metuh is on trial before Justice Okon Abang for allegedly receiving the sum of N400m from the Office of the NSA under the leadership of Dasuki before the 2015 presidential election.

FORMER PRESIDENT CONFIRMS BURGLARY OF HOME AS HE REVEALS STOLEN ITEMS

Former President, Mr Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed the theft of his property from his house in Abuja. He confirmed the incident in a statement by his spokesperson, Ikechukwu Eze, following some media reports that the home was stripped bare and some of the items stolen were being sold in markets. "The house, which the former President bought from CITEC estate developers in 2004, was totally stripped bare by the thieves who stole every movable item in the house including furniture sets, beds, electronics, toilet and electrical fittings, as well as all internal doors and frames." The Police has arrested a suspected gang Leader in Ogun State for impersonation and the murder of a middle aged motorboy after an altercation in Abeokuta, the state capital. Parading the suspect alongside other suspects at the state command of the Police, the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the suspect was a leader of a robbery gang allegedly terrorizing residents in many parts of the capital.  According to Mr Iliyasu, the suspect had brought an unregistered Sienna vehicle to one Alaja car wash, Leme Abeokuta and later on, got involved in an argument with a motorboy who was identified as Rasaq. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has set up a team to investigate the immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal. This was disclosed to DAILY POST by a source within the commission. The operative also confirmed that former Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke, would also be invited. An ex-senator, and two-time member of House of Representatives, Senator Mudasiru Hussein has stirred widespread controversy after he was nominated as Commissioner in Osun State. A  mild drama played out at the Plateau State orientation camp of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the Mangu area of the state as two newly sworn-in corps members were reportedly caught having sex inside a gutter. The randy corps members are among the many young graduates that were recently sworn in for the Batch A Stream 1 for the compulsory one year national service. According to multiple online reports, the incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday, May 30, 2017 when some camp soldiers on parade walked in on the duo in the middle of a heated sexcapade. The man blamed the devil for pushing him into the act while the woman who is reportedly married blamed the cold weather of the state for pushing her into the act. The woman whose identity was not immediately disclosed, stated that she finds it difficult to stay away from sex for too long.
