A Georgia sheriff accused of violating the civil rights of hundreds of high school students when he ordered a massive school drug search is now accused of interfering with a GBI investigation into his son's recent drug arrest. In April, Worth County Sheriff Jeff Hobby drew ire from scores parents who accused him and his deputies of violating the civil rights of their children. Hobby ordered a search that resulted in his deputies locking down the Worth County High School for four hours as they searched students' pockets, waistbands and underwear. Some students said they felt sexually violated. A grand jury indicted the sheriff and two deputies Oct. 3 in a case involving allegations of false imprisonment, violation of oath of office and sexual battery. 241 Nigerian women including five nursing mothers were repatriated to the country on Tuesday following their failed attempt to take the illegal Libyan routes to Europe. France's highest court ruled Friday that a researcher could be denied access to sensitive archives concerning the 1994 genocide in Rwanda even though they were ostensibly opened to the public in 2015. Researcher and author Francois Graner , who has written a number of works on the genocide, cannot see the files because of a law protecting presidential archives for 25 years following the death of a head of state, the constitutional council ruled. Kigali's minority Tutsi-led government has accused France, under then president Francois Mitterrand, of supporting the Hutu regime that carried out the bulk of the killings, in which around 800,000 mostly Tutsi people died. The Nigeria Police Force , says it has sanctioned 20 personnel involved in corruption between Jan. 2016 and Jun . 2017 in four states. A report obtained from the Public Complaints Rapid Response Unit by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN ) indicated that those sanctioned served in Enugu , Abuja, Ogun and Lagos commands. It indicated that 10 policemen were dismissed during the period , one given severe reprimand , one demoted , and eight given other forms of punishment . The report showed that 4 , 342 complaints were received by the unit during the period under review , out of which 3 , 602 were amicably resolved and 318 pending. It added that 422 complaints received by the unit were discovered to be false . According to the report , the 106 distress calls received by the unit during the period under review were not part of the complaints captured in the report. Uti, 55, was arraigned before Magistrate Bola Folarin-Williams on a two-count of murder and disrespect of corpse. After going through the case file, Magistrate Folarin-Williams said she did not see anything both in the accused's statement and in the police investigations to show that the accused killed his wife and quashed the remand application brought by the police. Kedarie Johnson, also known as "Kandicee," identified as both male and female. The 16-year-old student from Burlington, Iowa, was killed in March 2016 after meeting 23-year-old Jorge Sanders-Galvez. Johnson was then brought to Sanders-Galvez's home to have sex with him and his cousin, 25-year-old Jaron Purham.
