15 DAY OLD INFANT MISSING UNDER SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

Investigators say the Saturday morning disappearance of a 15-day-old infant from Newton County is suspicious.

Caliyah McNabb's parents called 911 when they noticed she was missing around 10 a.m. Saturday, Channel 2 Action News reported.
They told officials she was fed at 5 a.m. and she was gone when they woke up.
Family members gave Channel 2 a photo of the missing baby.

Newton County sheriff's deputies and dogs searched a 2-mile radious around the Eagle Point trailer park in Covington.
"I want my kid back, man,” Christopher McNabb told the news station. “That's my child, man. I want my kid!"
Family members were shocked and saddened.
"She was so tiny. So innocent," said Caliyah's grandfather, Tim Bell.
The sheriff's office said Caliyah's disappearance is suspicious because she is so young.
"A 15-day-old child obviously didn't leave by themselves," said Keith Crum with the Newton County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said Caliyah's parents are cooperating with the investigation. They said there are no suspects or persons of interest.
"It started out as a missing child (report), but we treat it as a potential homicide, kidnapping," Crum said.
Family members are puzzled about how the newborn just disappeared.
"She's just a little baby. Stuff like this ain't supposed to happen," Bell said.
The Sheriff's Office suspended the search for the night around 8:30 p.m. Saturday and were unable to search with dogs on Sunday.
Family members said they will continue to search.
