Yesterday the 7th of October made history in the life of this great man and his family as he gave out one of his beautiful daughters,Omolola in marriage .The engagement ceremony which took place at the palatial home of the Asiwaju on Friday throughout and into the early hours of Saturday witnessed guests from far and wide and allover the country.Special dignitaries amongst who where royal fathers,chiefs,politicians,uniform men and even business tycoons graced the occasion to honour one of their own,Chief Felix Ilesanmi,business tycoon,the Asiwaju of Kereku land.Below are photos from the occasion as we wish the newly weds a happy married life,

A dog walker was attacked by a man who held a knife to her throat and attempted to rape her. The victim, aged in her 30s, was walking her two dogs on waste land, near to Bedford Avenue, in Walkden, when she was approached by a man just before 7pm last night (Sunday). The man asked her for the time, but then grabbed the woman and pulled her into some trees. He then threatened the victim with a knife and ordered her to hand over her jewellery. - A fatal car crash took the lives of two newlyweds and their friends when the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a large truck - According to the police report the driver of the vehicle got distracted and slammed into the truck full speed without even braking - Police are still investigating what could have been the cause of distraction A couple that got married died in a car crash with their two friends only hours after they got married. KOGI WORKERS GIVE GOVT 7 DAYS ULTIMATUM OVER HALF SALARY POLICY

L OKOJA— Organised labour in Kogi State has given the state government a seven-day ultimatum over its decision to pay 50 percent salary to workers and 40 percent to local government staff across the state. Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State The workers, after a meeting presided over by the state Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Onuh Edoka, and his Trade Union Congress, TUC, counterpart, Ranti Ojo, restated their resolve to reject the half salary policy of government. Edoka said: "If the N2.6 billion being quoted now by government as July wage bill is sacrosanct, and if the monthly allocation that accrued to the state from the federation account without the IGR shared in the month of August stands at N2.6 billion as presented to organised labour, we wish to ask why this percentage of salary?"

One crewmember died and two others were injured after a U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter crashed at a golf course in Leonardtown, Maryland, during a "routine training flight" shortly before 2 p.m. EST today, officials told ABC News. The survivors, in critical and serious condition respectively, were transported to the University of Maryland R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, the Army said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, the Army said. "We are deeply saddened by this loss within our community," said Maj. Gen. Bradley A. Becker, commanding general, Joint Force Headquarters National Capital Region and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington. "Our condolences go out to the families and friends affected by this tragedy, and our team is focused on supporting them during this difficult time."
