Freedom Newspaper can reveal. The former NIA officers were arrested last night.
A source writing to us said: "Hello Mr. Mbai, I just want to tell you that Sheikh Omar Jeng and Yankuba Badjie are arrested since yesterday and I am very sure of the information, but still as a journalist can you make your findings."
A Gambian journalist writes: "Yankuba Badjie, the former Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and former Director of operations Sheikh Omar Jeng have been arrested and detained. "
Another source said the arrest of the duo was discussed shortly after the Finance Minister's press conference. " I will not be surprised about the arrest of Yankuba Badjie. I was informed about their imminent arrest," said our source.

Officials have identified the three men killed after a UPS driver opened fire during a meeting at company warehouse in San Francisco. San Francisco's chief medical examiner identified the victims as 50-year-old Benson Louie and 56-year-old Wayne Chan, both of San Francisco; and 46-year-old Michael Lefiti, of Hercules. Police say the three UPS drivers were killed by 38-year-old Jimmy Lam, who fatally shot himself in the head in front of officers. The Zamfara State Police Command on Wednesday intercepted two vehicles carrying arms in different parts of the state. The spokesman of the command, Muhammad Shehu, confirmed the development in Gusau. He told the News Agency of Nigeria that items recovered from the vehicles were three AK47 riffles, an automatic pistol, locally-made pistol, magazines and live ammunitions. According to him, other items recovered include N103, 435 cash, ATM card, three voters’ cards, military camouflage and a stamp of the Cattle Traders Association of Nigeria in the Bukuru Local Government Area of Plateau.
