Rawlings is my brother. 

Renowned Nollywood actor Pete Edochie says he does not only bear resemblance to former President Jerry John Rawlings, he sees him as a brother.
According to him, he sees Ghana as his second home especially when he was born on the 7th March a day after the country marks its independence celebration.
"I will be 70 on the 7th of next month and I see Ghana as my second home. I will try to come and commemorate the independence celebration here ", he said.

The veteran actor said prior to meeting the former president, everywhere he went people of Ghanaian origin said he reminds them of their former president to the extent her own daughters joined in the fray.
"I agree with people who saw we have the resemblance because I know how I look and seeing him here I have no doubt they are right. It appears we have a lot in common".
The Nollywood Star is in Ghana for a Press Conference of Kofas Media's New Movie on corruption in society which casts leading Ghanaian actors and actresses.

PRESIDENT CANCELS FEDERAL EXECUTIVE MEETING TO RECEIVE PROBE REPORT ON SECRETARY TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERATION

The meeting of the Federal Executive Council that holds every Wednesday did not hold yesterday. Yesterday would have afforded President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country on Saturday the opportunity of presiding over the council meeting for the first time in over three months. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed in a statement that the meeting would not hold. Adesina did not however disclose the reason behind the decision to cancel the meeting. ANOTHER 155 NIGERIANS RETURN FROM LIBYA

Two weeks after 171 Nigerians voluntarily returned home from Libya, 155 others followed suit on Thursday aboard a chartered Nouvel Air aircraft with registration number TS-1NB. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the aircraft landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at about 6.00 p.m. Like the initial group which returned on March 7 after being stranded in Libya while enroute Europe, the returnees were brought back by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the Nigerian Embassy in Libya. A man was arrested Monday after police say he vandalized the Lincoln Memorial . A U. S. Park Police officer observed the man about 1 p. m . using a penny to scrawl the letters "HYPT MAEK" on the fifth pillar on the north side of the memorial , authorities said. The man , identified as 21 - year - old Nurtilek Bakirov , of Kyrgyzstan, was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property. Sgt . Anna Rose , a Park Police spokeswoman, said during a news conference Tuesday that Bakirov was a student in the Washington area . Bakirov ' s attorney didn' t return a request for comment.
