Dear Mom, {I Miss You}

Dear Mom,

I miss you so much.

I cannot believe that today marks four years that you have been gone from this earth.

My heart cannot believe it.

So many things have changed.  So many things that I could tell you.

But the one thing that stands out most in my mind is…

Your life made a difference in mine.

The Godly example that you set for me to follow in all the years that you were my mom is still leading me today.(YOU ARE STILL MY MOM,TALK OF THE TOWN)

And the example of faith that you showed in your last months on this earth has touched not only my heart, but that of my siblings,the family at large and many others.

I will never be the same, Mom.

You have set my mind on heavenly things.

You helped to change my perspective on what really matters most in this life, and I am forever grateful.

Mom, as you faced death, you taught us all to look for God’s blessing through the trials we were facing.  You taught us not to be bitter or angry, but to TRUST GOD to take care of us.

I am still amazed at how blessed we all felt during such a difficult season.  And I am amazed even more by all the blessings that God has sent down on our family even since you have passed away.


And then it dawned on me.  Mom… YOU were the BLESSING!

YOU WERE THE BLESSING!!!

I know you are smiling down on us,wishing us well and praying for your children.

I would give anything in this world to be your son again in another life to come.

And I promise to be a better son if GOD WOULD JUST GRANT THIS.

The pain that I have felt since you have been gone has reminded me that THIS IS NOT MY HOME.

 How good it is to know that a mother’s love never ends.  It never stops giving.  I hear your voice all the time, leading me, guiding me, and encouraging me.

 Thank you, Mom! 

 I love you, Mom.

 I would give anything to hold your hand and hear your sweet voice again.
But until I see you in Heaven again, I will hold you close in my heart.

Amilcar Henriquez shot dead in his Panama home . Police in Panama say national team soccer player Amilcar Henriquez has been shot dead while leaving his home. The press chief for Panama’s National Police says the killing happened Saturday in the country’s Colon province. Authorities say a gunman shot the 33-year-old midfielder several times. Another two people were wounded. The player died at a nearby hospital. President Juan Carlos Varela has condemned the killing on his Twitter account. He is calling for authorities in Colon to find those responsible. Henriquez was part of the Panama team that is trying to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He played in the last 20 minutes of Panama’s 1-1 tie with the United States last month and has appeared 75 times for his country.

A fire incident which happened on Saturday evening at Makoko and Satellite Town areas of Lagos State, has left a seven-day-old baby dead, and copies of West African Senior School Certificate Examination results badly burnt. It was gathered that the baby was burnt to death in Makoko, in the fire incident that occurred due to a resident's carelessness, after she left what she was cooking on a stove unattended to. Governor Nyesom Wike of Bayelsa Photo: Twitter The Rivers state government has condemned the escape, from police custody, of Ifeanyi Dike, a suspected rapist and killer of Victory Chikanso, an eight-year-old girl. The Rivers state deputy governor, Dr Ipalibo Banigo, in a statement on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, asked the Police and other law enforcement agen­cies to ensure that the suspect is re-arrested and brought to justice without delay. She stressed that the report that the suspect es­caped from the hands of the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) is "totally unaccept­able and very embarrass­ing." Banigo who condoled with the bereaved family on the gruesome murder of their daughter, said that "as a mother, I am still numb with shock to hear that a man could defile an eight-year-old girl and go ahead to mutilate her body for purported money rituals."

Appeal Court confirms Ali Modu Sheriff as PDP chairman 17th February 2017 The Court of Appeal has declared Ali Modu Sheriff as the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Kogi herbalist to die by hanging for killing 2 brothers A herbal medicine practitioner and ritualist, Ibrahim Mohammed, has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing two brothers in Koton-Karfe area of Kogi State. He was accused of killing two brothers, Muhammed Kudu Abubakar and Umar Tanko. The herbalist was said to have administered poison on them before hitting them on the head with a pestle and then buried their corpses in a shallow grave in his compound. The accused person had earlier pleaded guilty to the charges.
