Ex Gov Chime Formally Announces Desaid.ion to APC, Says PDP is Dead
Former Enugu state governor, Sullivan Iheanacho Chime, has formally announced his defection from the PDP to the APC.
"The PDP, we used to be members of is dead. The party I joined in 1999 and had the opportunity of leading in the state for eight years is no longer in existence," he said in a statement issued during the weekend.
"We have two groups claiming to be in charge of the party as chairman. These two, none of them can actually lay claim to the chairmanship of the party. There is no provision in PDP's Constitution for interim caretaker committee led by Sen. Ahmed Maikarfi."
"The PDP convention has no power to set up a caretaker committee and did not seek to amend the party's constitution" he said

A disgruntled husband killed his wife during their cruise-ship vacation because "she would not stop laughing at me," according to newly filed court papers. Kenneth Manzanares attacked his wife, Kristy, inside their cabin aboard the Emerald Princess cruise ship Tuesday night, according to an affidavit filed Wednesday in Alaska federal court. A witness told authorities that when he entered blood-splattered Cabin D726 — where the Manzanareses were staying — Kristy, 39, was lying on the floor in a pool of blood. "She would not stop laughing at me," Kenneth told the stunned witness, who then watched as the distraught hubby grabbed Kristy's body and tried to drag her toward the balcony. A teenage father with a tattoo covering half his face saying DEVAST8 has cried out over his struggle to get a job. 19 year old Mark Cropp , who was recently released from prison, put a plea out on Facebook saying his facial tattoo was stopping him securing employment. He also said his tattoo which is not gang affiliated- wasn 't planned and was not supposed to be quite as big. He got it a number of months ago while in prison serving a two year and three month sentence in the Otago Correction Facility for aggravated robbery, the NZ Herald reports. Niger police arrest 194 suspects,recover 48 weapons February 13, 2017 The Niger State Police Command said it arrested 194 suspects and recovered over 48 dangerous weapons from criminals in parts of the state. The half-brother of North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un was carrying an antidote to the poison which killed him at the time of his death, Malaysian state media reported. Malaysia's High Court heard this week Kim Jong Nam had 12 doses of atropine in his sling bag when he was allegedly swabbed with VX nerve agent in Kuala Lumpur International Airport on February 13, news agency Bernama said. Defense lawyer Hisyam Abdullah also confirmed the report to CNN. Abdullah said K. Sharmilah, a government toxicologist, told the court Wednesday she examined the drug along with several other samples provided by police.
