Ex Gov Chime Formally Announces Desaid.ion to APC, Says PDP is Dead
Former Enugu state governor, Sullivan Iheanacho Chime, has formally announced his defection from the PDP to the APC.
"The PDP, we used to be members of is dead. The party I joined in 1999 and had the opportunity of leading in the state for eight years is no longer in existence," he said in a statement issued during the weekend.
"We have two groups claiming to be in charge of the party as chairman. These two, none of them can actually lay claim to the chairmanship of the party. There is no provision in PDP's Constitution for interim caretaker committee led by Sen. Ahmed Maikarfi."
"The PDP convention has no power to set up a caretaker committee and did not seek to amend the party's constitution" he said

The Edo Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aisosa Amadasun, and four others, have been brought before a Benin High Court, for allegedly committing contract fraud to the tune of N1.5bn, NAN reports. The other defendants in the case are: Adama Osabuohien, Prince Stephen Alao, Dove Momodu and Ali Sulayman. Talking of dying beautifully, a young cancer sufferer has had her final wish fulfilled by her family members after passing away in a beautiful way. A 20-year-old girl, Racine Pregunta, was diagnosed osteosarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer, last October, has had her final wish fulfilled after passing away ‘beautifully’ earlier this week. SAPULPA, Okla. - Police say an elementary school teacher was arrested on multiple charges after accidentally leaving her Facebook page open on a school computer. Officers were called to Holmes Park Elementary School on Monday after a teacher found Megan Sloan's Facebook page open on a computer, according to KOKI-TV. Authorities say the page featured a conversation where Sloan reportedly asked about using and selling heroin. Detectives told KOKI that during the investigation, Sloan allegedly admitted to pawning two iPads that belonged to the school district. She also reportedly admitted to using money from field trips for gas and drugs. When officers searched Sloan's purse, they allegedly found syringes and substances that tested positive for meth and heroin.
