PRESIDENT BUHARI LANDS IN KADUNA,FERRIED TO ABUJA IN A PRESIDENTIAL CHOPPER

President Buhari Lands In Kaduna, Ferried To Abuja In A Presidential Chopper

      Just like we reported earlier this morning,Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari today returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom where he has been receiving medical treatment for an undisclosed ailment for  51 days.



     Mr. Buhari landed at the air force base in Kaduna airport amidst tight security. President Buhari plane 5N-FGT,a wide body presidential Boeing Business Jet landed at exactly 7:41 am Nigerian time. The President who was wearing a black kaftan alighted from the plane to greet Kaduna state officials and armed forces personnel who had been waiting for his arrival; he later boarded a presidential helicopter that took off to the federal capital territory,seat of power in Abuja.

     Sources in Kaduna said the President didn’t appear healthy at all.The president left Nigeria on January 19 for a 10-day vacation but that was extended indefinitely when he sent a letter to the National Assembly asking for more time.


 
 Aso Rock insiders have been worried that the longer the president remained out of the country, the greater the rumors about his closely-guarded condition.

EX GOVERNOR SULE LAMIDO REMANDED IN PRISON CUSTODY AMIDST PROTESTS

Heavily armed policemen on Tuesday in Dutse, Jigawa State capital, fired teargas canisters at a crowd that gathered at the Chief Magistrate Court Two for the arraignment of former governor Sule Lamido, who is being tried for making inciting remarks. Counsel for the Jigawa State Government, Ikenna Ekpunobi, insisted that Lamido should not be granted bail until investigation was completed. Emphasising that Lamido was charged with disturbing public peace and inciting public disturbance, Ekpunobi argued that the allegations were contrary to the provisions of the Criminal Code of Jigawa State. However, Lamido’s counsel, Felix Osimerah, quoting Section 36, sub-section 5 of the 1999 Constitution, argued that Lamido should be presumed innocent even as he stressed that the offences were bailable. You cannot be a judge in your own case – Ohanaeze blasts Army Chief, Buratai March 10th, 2017 President General of the apex Igbo social-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo has frowned at the setting up of a panel by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General T.Y. Buratai to investigate the alleged killing of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) by troops of the Nigerian Army. A middle aged man has been arrested in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital for being in possession of human parts. Tribune Online gathered that the suspect had been under surveillance of residents of Ita Kudimo, Abata Suban, Pakata area of Ilorin West local government in the past few days after speculation grew that he possessed a corpse in his building. It was also gathered that the neighbours of the suspect swooped on his residence at about noon on Sunday and the suspect was allegedly caught with human parts. He was later dragged to Adewole Police station in the Ilorin metropolis amidst shouting and rain of curses by the crowd of people. BREAKING NEWS;GUNMEN ABDUCT SCHOOL PRINCIPALS AND STUDENT

Gunmen suspected to be militants on Thursday morning invaded Lagos State Model College, Igbo Nla, Epe, Lagos, abducting the principals and some students. The kidnappers were said to have stormed the school in the early hours when the students were at the morning assembly. The gunmen abducted the principal of the junior secondary school, Mr. Oyesola and Mr. Akirinmade who is the Principal of the senior secondary school. They also abducted some of the students. Presenting the case to the House of Representatives, the member representing Epe Constituency, Wale Raji, appealed to the House to call on the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State to treat the case with utmost urgency. Sule Lamido, the former governor of Jigawa state, has attributed his arrest and perceived persecution to his desire to run for president in 2019. This was disclosed by his chief press secretary, Umar Kyari, in a chat with The Vanguard on Monday. He often has to go dig around underground with only a long stick to help him and with no mask to protect him from the poisonous fumes the sewage emits. Scooping out liquid filth with his bare hands, the hardy worker has the thankless task of clawing out blockages in the bustling Bangladeshi capital. Dhaka has a population in excess of 14 million and has recently been hit by major floods caused by heavy rains and an insufficient storm drainage system.
