DeKalb County Sheriff Jeffrey Mann was arrested late Saturday after allegedly exposing himself in an Atlanta park. 

One of Georgia’s top cop was busted after exposing himself at an Atlanta park on Saturday night, according to local reports Sunday.

 Police said DeKalb County Sheriff Jeffrey Mann bolted when confronted by a bike cop in Piedmont Park, according to an incident report obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

 Mann allegedly exposed his genitals while walking toward an officer, not realizing he was hiding behind a tree.

 As Mann approached, the officer shined his flash light at the surprised cop and identified himself as a member of law enforcement, police said.

 Mann fled, running into oncoming traffic south of the large park along 10th St.  He stopped to tie his shoes and took off again as the officer caught up, according to the report. He soon gave up and was cuffed. 

 While in custody, the sheriff asked to fetch his identification from his car and for the arresting officer to contact his supervisor.

 Mann now faces charges of public indecency and obstruction.

 The officer who filed the report described Piedmont Park as a hotspot for “sexual acts after dark” and alleges he found a condom stash in Mann’s pocket.

 Mann, who oversees law enforcement in the state’s fourth largest county, said he intends to clear his name, according to WSB-TV.

 Mann was re-elected as Dekalb County’s sheriff in 2016 after assuming the law enforcement seat in 2014. He won a special election to replace Thomas Brown, who resigned to seek a congressional bid.

Fighting over land use between semi-nomadic cattle herders and more settled communities, claims hundreds of lives yearly in the middle belt and in northern Nigeria. Bala Elkana, a spokesman for Niger state police, said the attack happened at about 05:00 a.m. (0400 GMT) on Saturday at Epogi community, in the Mokwa area of the state. “It was a clash between farmers and herders which had been initially handled but some herders felt unsatisfied and … they launched a reprisal attack on some villagers praying in a mosque,” Elkana said. A man’s leg was ‘nearly severed’ during a machete attack in north Manchester. The victim also suffered serious head injuries when he was slashed with the weapon at an address on Kingscliffe Street, Harpurhey , on Thursday afternoon. Months after an initial interception, another container filled with arms has been discovered at the Tin Can Island Port in Lagos, the Nigeria Customs has declared on Tuesday. A source at the port said the container was found at the Ports and Cargo Terminal of the Tin Can Island Ports. “As I speak to you, they’ve ordered everyone to go out of the terminal and they have locked up everywhere,” the source said. The spokesperson of the Nigeria Customs, Tin Can Island Command, Uche Ejesieme, confirmed the incident and said details would be made public later. “We are still counting,” Mr. Ejesieme told Premium Times over the phone.
