ABORMINATION;FATHER RAPES OWN 10 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER TO DEATH.

A man simply identified as Tele Egbegi has been alleged to have raped his ten-year old daughter (name withheld) to death in Okugbene Community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Daily Post reports.

Daily Post gathered that the girl died on Tuesday at about 8pm and she is still lying in state in her father's compound waiting for the arrival of the mother's family from Ayakoromo community.

Meanwhile, her father, Tele Egbegi has fled the community for fear of being mobbed.

The matter came to the public domain when local doctors who administered treatment on the deceased who recently fell seriously sick confirmed that she was being molested and that someone bigger than her was having canal knowledge of her.

It was gathered that the girl allegedly accused an innocent person for molesting her because her father threatened her not to mention his name, but later confessed that it was her father who had been having carnal knowledge of her as well as molesting her by having s*x with her through the anus and her private part for about four times.

The Egbegi family is the only family that is resident in the small community.

A source told Daily Post that Egbegi's late wife (mother of the deceased) may have died due to the beatings she gave her while she was alive.

The source also added that Egbegi who is known for his notoriety had in December 2013 allegedly set ablaze the house of his brother's wife and children at night.

Contacted, the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka said, "I'm not aware. Let me do my investigation and get back to you."

          A 53-year-old Nigerian man who works at the United Nations was arrested in connection with a string of bank robberies in Manhattan, over the past month and a half, law enforcement sources tell News 4 New York. The NYPD’s Major Case Squad arrested Abdullahi Shuaibu, of Queens, on Monday, April 17th, at his office at the Foreign Press Centers across from the United Nations building. An armed gang has reportedly shot and abducted Mrs. Edith Moron, wife of the Principal of Gbanrainowei Grammar School, Okolobiri, Bayelsa State, Mr. Moron Pereowei. KOGI GOVERNOR SEEKS ASSEMBLY'S APPROVAL FOR N11 BN SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state, in a letter to the State House of Assembly, is seeking the approval of a supplementary budget of N11 billion for the 2017 fiscal year. The governor said the budget would take care of certain areas of economic development that were not previously captured.(Kogi state has not recorded any singular form of development since the present government came into existence) Bello stated that the budget would enable his administration to continue to execute its projects and programmes.(EFCC please note) The governor said it will also address security issues and other obvious sectors' challenges that are within and outside the current approved budget. After reading the letter to the House, Speaker Ahmed Imam directed the Majority Leader, Mathew Kolawole to slate it on the order paper for consideration at the next legislative day.
