LANDLORD ARRESTED FOR SHOOTING HIS TENANT DEAD

The landlord of a building located at Plot 22 , Obohia Road, Aba , Abia state , Ogbonnaya Igwe,has been arrested by police operatives attached to the Ndiegoro Police Division in the state for allegedly shooting dead his tenant,one Mrs.Ijeoma Chibuzo.

The Abia state Police Public Relations Officer, Geoffrey Ogbonna, who confirmed the arrest of the suspect, said it took the intervention of a combined security team from the Counter - Terrorism Unit and others that were deployed in Obohia to stop angry mob from setting the suspect 's building ablaze.

He said :
" it took the police over three hours to break into the suspect's house.
" He was apprehended with the gun he allegedly used in killing the victim .
" Although investigation into the matter was still ongoing , preliminary investigation showed that the suspect and the victim were having issues bothering on finance. "

The Police Spokeman in the state added that the victim's body was deposited in an undisclosed mortuary within the city.
The Victim and the suspect are reportedly said to be indigenes of Item in the Bende Local Government Area of the state.

POLICE ARRESTS 75 YEAR OLD MAN,OTHERS FOR SELLING GUNS TO VIGILANTE GROUPS WITHOUT LICENCE

Operatives of the Zonal Intervention Squad attached to Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, have arrested a 75-year-old man, Olayiwola Araba, for allegedly supplying guns to vigilante groups without license.   The other suspects identified are 45-year-old Olarewaju Kabir, 35-year-old Oladele Jacob and 40-year-old Jide Akinola,who were said to have been arrested at different locations in the state.   The operatives who effected the arrest were said to have recovered nine rifles, two pistols and live ammunitions.Confirming the arrest, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent of Police and zonal spokesperson, said the suspect was arrested for selling guns without license.   She said: "We are holding the seller and the buyers for illegal possession of firearms, because the seller has no document to show he has the approval of the police authority to sell guns to the public.   "We are going to conduct a discreet investigation into the business to identify the routes through which it come into th...

A disgruntled husband killed his wife during their cruise-ship vacation because "she would not stop laughing at me," according to newly filed court papers. Kenneth Manzanares attacked his wife, Kristy, inside their cabin aboard the Emerald Princess cruise ship Tuesday night, according to an affidavit filed Wednesday in Alaska federal court. A teenage father with a tattoo covering half his face saying DEVAST8 has cried out over his struggle to get a job. 19 year old Mark Cropp , who was recently released from prison, put a plea out on Facebook saying his facial tattoo was stopping him securing employment. He also said his tattoo which is not gang affiliated- wasn 't planned and was not supposed to be quite as big. A bloody clash between the army and police in Nigeria's restive northeastern Yobe state on Wednesday left one soldier and three police dead, a security source told AFP.  The police confirmed the fracas in the state capital of Damaturu, but did not say if there were casualties.  "The Nigeria police force is abreast of the unfortunate incident that occurred in the early hours of today 12th April, 2017 in Damaturu between the personnel of the force and that of the Nigerian army," police spokesman Jimoh Moshood said in a statement.  He said an investigation had been launched to determine "the causes of the incident and deal with the situation appropriately to prevent such occurrence in the future".  The army authorities were not immediately available for comment.
