The controversial OurMumuDonDo Protest group led by the popular Nigerian entertainer, Charles Oputa, has stormed EFCC offices to demand that Diezani be repatriated.
Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, and his #OurMumuDonDo protesters on Monday stormed the offices of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja to demand the repatriation of a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke.
Diezani, who served under former President Goodluck Jonathan, has been the subject of several graft probes.
Already, the courts in Nigeria had ordered the forfeiture of some properties, linked to the former ministers and believed to have been acquired with stolen wealth, to the federal government.
A man’s body has been discovered on the former BBC studios site in Manchester city centre. The body was found this morning at the building site on Oxford Road, which is currently being transformed into student flats. Greater Manchester Police have been called to the scene and the area has been taped off. Forensics officers have also been seen combing the area. Police are working to establish the circumstances behind the man’s death. The victim is believed to have been discovered by building site staff on Monday morning. It is thought he gained access to the building site over the weekend. A prophet of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C & S) Church in Lagos, Mr. Alimi Isaiah, 55, has been arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly being in possession of human skull and a horn. The prophet was arraigned on a count charge of unlawfully having human skull in his possession. LEEDS, Ala. A 12-year-old girl died Sunday after authorities believe she was accidentally shot by a family member during a gathering in Alabama, according to multiple reports. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the girl as Kayla Mendenhall, AL.com reported. Authorities told the news site that Kayla and an adult family member were wrestling when a gun worn by the adult discharged. Kayla was shot in the upper leg and died at a hospital. Barely one week after a policeman lost his service rifle to unknown gunmen, another policeman has been attacked and killed by unidentified hoodlums in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. The unnamed policeman was reportedly killed in a beer parlour in the state capital.
