The controversial OurMumuDonDo Protest group led by the popular Nigerian entertainer, Charles Oputa, has stormed EFCC offices to demand that Diezani be repatriated.
Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, and his #OurMumuDonDo protesters on Monday stormed the offices of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja to demand the repatriation of a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke.
Diezani, who served under former President Goodluck Jonathan, has been the subject of several graft probes.
Already, the courts in Nigeria had ordered the forfeiture of some properties, linked to the former ministers and believed to have been acquired with stolen wealth, to the federal government.
The former governor of Osun state and the Osun West senator, Isiaka Adeleke, is reported to have died of an overdose of painkillers. The drugs were administered to him by an unqualified medical technician. According to Sahara Reporters, the Senator received the medication following complaints of serious pain in his legs at the beginning of day-long political rally and meetings. It was learnt that preliminary results from pathologists show that the intravenous medication, fluid laced with a huge quantity of painkillers, conspired to block his heart leading to a heart attack that killed him. Reports that followed his death was that he had died of cardiac arrest, but the indigenes of his home town, Ede, insisted that they wanted to know the cause of his death, which prompted the state government to order an autopsy at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital. Abductors demand N100m ransom for DPO kidnapped in Delta MARCH 8TH 2017, Abductors of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of C Division Police Station in Asaba, Delta State, Mr. Valentine Mbalu, have opened negotiation with his family members and are demanding N100 million ransom to secure the cop’s release. A holidaymaker recently got home from France to find a 22-year-old Ethiopian illegal immigrant hiding in the boot of his Nissan. Dumbfounded Paul Edmunds, 59, was unpacking when he saw the man's trainers poking out from among his bags. Paul said: "He asked if he was in England. I said 'Yes — well Wales, actually.' He made a prayer gesture and smiled." The man, who crept into the van at Calais, France, was arrested in Caersws, Wales. After weeks of intensive manhunt, the Lagos state police command has arrested one Ismaila Adeyemi, 49, the suspected mastermind and killer of Hector Jobateh (the 2007 winner of Gulder Ultimate search) who was traced and shot dead at his residence at New Oko-Oba in Agege, Lagos State. The suspect who was arrested at gas line Ominiyi in Ijoko area of Ogun state, confessed to the crime and other numerous crimes, while other members of his gang have been arrested. The suspects will be charged to court after investigation is concluded.
Happy grooms Jahed Choudhury, 24, and Sean Rogan, 19, tied the knot wearing traditional golden Sherwanis in a civil ceremony at Walsall registry office. The pair, who've been together for two years, first met when Choudhury was crying on a bench in Darlaston. He told Express and Star: 'I'd not long overdosed and I was crying on a bench and Sean came over and asked if I was okay.Adding that Sean gave him hope at his lowest point and has stood by him ever since.
