AMERICA ;COPS SHOOT AND WOUND GUN WIELDING MAN

Fort Worth officers wounded a man Saturday night after he came out of a house with a gun and fired at them, police said.
The officers had responded about 9:15 p.m. to a domestic disturbance at the home in the 900 block of East Shaw Street near Berry Street in South Fort Worth.
The man, whose name was not released, was in the backyard arguing as police arrived. When he approached with a gun, the officers ordered him repeatedly to drop it. When he refused, the officers opened fire, police said.
The man was alert and talking while he was being taken to a hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to his lower torso.
Police said they had been dispatched to the home twice earlier in the evening.
Police said charges are pending against the man, and the officers will be placed on routine administrative leave while an internal investigation is conducted.
