On Saturday, August, 26, 2017, at about 9pm, following a sustained monitoring by IGP Special Tactical Squad attached to Niger State Police Command, two notorious ritualists were arrested in possession of the head of one Hassan Abubakar of Bakajeba Paiko L.G.A.

The suspects Abdulrasheed Aminu, 22, of Lupa and Ismaila Mohammed, 27, of makera, both confessed that they cut off the head with the use of two sharpened knife and one other suspect, Ibrahim, is still at large.

The father of the victim one, Abubakar Shuaib, said that his son was last seen on Saturday, taking a kettle of water from the house to give an unknown person waiting outside and since then he was nowhere to be found, until he heard that Police arrested suspects with human head and he identified the victim as his son. The case is under investigation

EFCC re-arraigns 3 directors for allegedly stealing over N100 million MARCH 9th, 2017 The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has re-arraigned three directors, Gregory Eriyanremu, Frank Ugen and Harriman Isa Oyofo before Justice Uloho of the Delta State High Court sitting in Warri for allegedly converting over N100million meant for payments of contractors who executed contract job for Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, to personal use at different times. After weeks of intensive manhunt, the Lagos state police command has arrested one Ismaila Adeyemi, 49, the suspected mastermind and killer of Hector Jobateh (the 2007 winner of Gulder Ultimate search) who was traced and shot dead at his residence at New Oko-Oba in Agege, Lagos State. The suspect who was arrested at gas line Ominiyi in Ijoko area of Ogun state, confessed to the crime and other numerous crimes, while other members of his gang have been arrested.
