SOUTH AFRICAN PRESIDENT CONFERRED CHIEFTAINCY TITLE ON STATE VISIT TO IMO
South Africa's President Jacob Zuma has been conferred with a Chieftaincy title in Owerri, Imo state.
The chieftaincy title was conferred on him by Eze Imo His Royal Highness Samuel Ohiri.
Zuma was given the traditional title of "Ochiaga Imo" on Friday evening.
Former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo presented the chieftaincy title certificate to him.
This chieftaincy title conferment to the president of South Africa is part of the activities scheduled for the leader's two-day visit to the country.
Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha revealed earlier that Zuma would be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Rochas Okorocha Foundation and Zuma Foundation during the visit.
President Zuma would be expected to assess over 20,000 hectare, planned for the establishment of Egbema Industrial Park, estimated to cost over N2 billion and the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport.
