The annual Oodua Festival 2017 edition held at the Palace Square of Ooni of Ife, Ile-Ife, State of Osun.

The festival was graced by His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr) Adeyeye Ogunwusi Enitan, Zaki of Arigidi Akokoland Oba Yisa Olanipekun and other members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and Oodua Progressive Union (OPU).
Speaking at the event, the Ooni of Ife urged Yorubas to always remember their ancestral home, ensure unity and progress of the Yoruba race.
The festival which is powered by the Olokun Festival Foundation witnessed dance performance by different troupes.

FORMER BBC STUDIO CORDONED OFF AFTER MAN'S BODY WAS DISCOVERED

A man’s body has been discovered on the former BBC studios site in Manchester city centre. The body was found this morning at the building site on Oxford Road, which is currently being transformed into student flats. Greater Manchester Police have been called to the scene and the area has been taped off. Forensics officers have also been seen combing the area. Police are working to establish the circumstances behind the man’s death. The victim is believed to have been discovered by building site staff on Monday morning. It is thought he gained access to the building site over the weekend. Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has backed out of his planned talks with the South-East Governors Forum » . The IPOB leader had met with the governors at the Enugu State Government House on August 30, 2017 said his decision was informed by the prevailing situation in the South East. A prophet of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C & S) Church in Lagos, Mr. Alimi Isaiah, 55, has been arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly being in possession of human skull and a horn. Witnesses described seeing a man walk towards an ice cream stand in the square and start attacking. A man with a knife has killed two people and injured at least six in a stabbing rampage in a market square in the Finnish city of Turku, police said.
