About 97 Nigerians have been deported from South Africa for alleged civil and criminal offences.
The deportees – 95 males and two females – arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport from Johannesburg on Monday night.
Those accused of criminal offences were handed over to the police for prosecution, while those accused of committing civil offences were allowed to go home.
This is coming a few days after a South African mob attacked Nigerians and their businesses in the country.
The Nigerian government condemned the attacks, and also threatened consequences if they are not checked.
The Nigerian senate has also resolved to send a strong delegation to the country to protest against the attacks.
In the space of a month, about 500 Nigerians have been deported  from different countries.
Last week, 314 Nigerians were forced to return home as a result of harrowing experiences in Libya.
On Thursday, Cameroon repatriated 517 Nigerians, while Germany, Italy and Belgium deported 43 Nigerians on Friday.
On Monday, 41 Nigerians girls who were trafficked to Mali returned.
The economic situation in the country has made many consider the other option of seeking green pasture abroad.

Benue State Police Command has busted two kidnap syndicate of 8 including a Gang of 4 allegedly led by a woman believed to be an associate of the wanted militant leader, Terwase Agwaza, aka Gana, who a week ago abducted a businessman. The police operation also led to the arrest of three women whose responsibilities were to provide food for the victims, who was rescued alive. The businessman was kidnapped alongside his son, who was later released to source N20 million as ransom for his father.  The state's Police Commissioner, Bashir Makama, said: "During investigations, we discovered that the lady, who was arrested had the responsibility of pencilling down those to be kidnapped and those to be killed by the gang. They are all associates of Gana, the wanted militant leader. Also arrested, after reliable information, is one Victor Ayanngor, who conspired with Ordue Abraham, Kelvin Dankor and Emmanuel Terver to kidnap his girlfriend and collect N200,000 ransom."

Japanese workers famously put in long hours, leading, in extreme cases, to karoshi, or death from overwork. Japanese media outfit, NHK, has apologized to the parents of deceased Japanese reporter, Miwa Sado, who died of heart failure after reportedly working for 159 hours of overtime in a month. Sado, who had been covering political news in Tokyo was found dead in her bed in July 2013, reportedly clutching her mobile phone. "The chairman met the parents at their home in the morning and apologised," an NHK spokesman told AFP. A government inquest a year after her death ruled that it was linked to excessive overtime. The State Security Service (SSS), on Saturday, announced the arrest of Husseini Maitangaran, a top commander of by Islamic State of West Africa (ISWA), otherwise known as Boko Haram. He was arrested in Kano on 31 August.  Maitangaran, according to a statement issued by the service, spearheaded several deadly attacks in Kano in 2012. Niger police arrest 194 suspects,recover 48 weapons February 13, 2017 The Niger State Police Command said it arrested 194 suspects and recovered over 48 dangerous weapons from criminals in parts of the state. A Jehovah's Witness convention in Angola was attacked with toxic gas on Friday, causing over 400 people to faint. A local news source, Portal de Angola, reported on Saturday that three young men were detained after the attack. According to the report, some 7,000 worshippers were at a venue on the outskirts of Luanda for the weekend-long convention. Forty-three victims were rushed to the hospital, but no deaths have been reported. A witness, Abraham Kituxi, told Portal de Angola that his sister-in-law was one of the first to collapse. She told him that she had smelled something foul before passing out. Shortly thereafter, more people began collapsing, creating panic throughout the venue. Former wrestling champion, John Eke Uti a.k.a. Power Uti, was on Tuesday brought before an Ebute Meta Magistrates' Court, Lagos, for allegedly killing his wife, Toyin. Uti, 55, was arraigned before Magistrate Bola Folarin-Williams on a two-count of murder and disrespect of corpse.
