GIRL 14 CHARGED TO COURT FOR RAPE

A 14-year-old girl has been dragged to court after she repeatedly raped 6-year-old brother.According to ZimEye, the Form 2 pupil (name withheld) from Hurungwe Village in Shurugwi, Zimbabwe, pleaded guilty to aggravated indecent assault when she appeared before Regional Magistrate Mr Morgan Nemadire.

She was sentenced 2 years’ imprisonment, which was wholly suspended on condition that she does not commit a similar offence.Prosecuting, Mr Kelvin Guvheya told the court that in September last year, the accused and the complainant slept in the same room but on separate beds.

“The accused person took the complainant to her bed and removed all his clothes.“The accused told the complainant that they were going to have sexual intercourse after she had removed her own clothes.“She told the complainant that he should sleep facing upwards and raped him once. After the act the accused person told the complainant to go back and sleep on his bed. The accused person had sexual intercourse with the complainant on several occasions,” said Guvheya.

The court heard that the matter came to light through an anonymous tip-off supplied to a police station. The complainant was medically examined and a medical report was brought to court as exhibit.

The Nigerian government has reacted to the killing of a Nigerian identified as Rasak Alao in South Africa. Recall that the Nigerian man, an auto mechanic, was on Thursday killed in South Africa after he was attacked alongside other Nigerians in Polokwane, Limpopo Province in South Africa. Reports indicated that the men were attacked following suspicions that they were into drug trafficking. Rasak Alao whose car was burnt lost his life in the attack which was carried out on him and five other Nigerians. POLICE ARRESTS 75 YEAR OLD MAN,OTHERS FOR SELLING GUNS TO VIGILANTE GROUPS WITHOUT LICENCE

Operatives of the Zonal Intervention Squad attached to Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, have arrested a 75-year-old man, Olayiwola Araba, for allegedly supplying guns to vigilante groups without license.   The other suspects identified are 45-year-old Olarewaju Kabir, 35-year-old Oladele Jacob and 40-year-old Jide Akinola,who were said to have been arrested at different locations in the state.   The operatives who effected the arrest were said to have recovered nine rifles, two pistols and live ammunitions.Confirming the arrest, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent of Police and zonal spokesperson, said the suspect was arrested for selling guns without license.   She said: "We are holding the seller and the buyers for illegal possession of firearms, because the seller has no document to show he has the approval of the police authority to sell guns to the public.   "We are going to conduct a discreet investigation into the business to identify the routes through which it come into th...

A teenage father with a tattoo covering half his face saying DEVAST8 has cried out over his struggle to get a job. 19 year old Mark Cropp , who was recently released from prison, put a plea out on Facebook saying his facial tattoo was stopping him securing employment. He also said his tattoo which is not gang affiliated- wasn 't planned and was not supposed to be quite as big. A bloody clash between the army and police in Nigeria's restive northeastern Yobe state on Wednesday left one soldier and three police dead, a security source told AFP.  The police confirmed the fracas in the state capital of Damaturu, but did not say if there were casualties.  "The Nigeria police force is abreast of the unfortunate incident that occurred in the early hours of today 12th April, 2017 in Damaturu between the personnel of the force and that of the Nigerian army," police spokesman Jimoh Moshood said in a statement.  He said an investigation had been launched to determine "the causes of the incident and deal with the situation appropriately to prevent such occurrence in the future".  The army authorities were not immediately available for comment.
