A woman who stabbed her neighbour to death while she was walking her dogs in Sunbury, in Melbourne's outer north-west, has been found not guilty of murder due to mental impairment. A 40-year-old man, Stephen Akpata, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Onyinye Faustina Eze, to death at the Kpansia suburb of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. Briefing newsmen at the headquarters of the Bayelsa Police Command in Yenagoa, the state Police Commissioner, Asuquo Amba, said the suspect, who fled to Gbana last month after committing the crime, was apprehended two weeks later in Lagos by security operatives on his trail. A man has been arrested by the Egyptian police after he allegedly admitted to beating his 85-year-old mother to death because his wife complained about her. Zeinab as-Sayyid Mahfouz died at a hospital in Alexandria on September 15 after what many speculated to be domestic violence.
