A woman who stabbed her neighbour to death while she was walking her dogs in Sunbury, in Melbourne's outer north-west, has been found not guilty of murder due to mental impairment. The Victorian Supreme Court found Eva Whitecross, 55, was suffering a delusional disorder when she stabbed Rachel Tyquin, 44, outside her home just before 6:00am on April 16, 2016. A 40-year-old man, Stephen Akpata, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Onyinye Faustina Eze, to death at the Kpansia suburb of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. Briefing newsmen at the headquarters of the Bayelsa Police Command in Yenagoa, the state Police Commissioner, Asuquo Amba, said the suspect, who fled to Gbana last month after committing the crime, was apprehended two weeks later in Lagos by security operatives on his trail. A man has been arrested by the Egyptian police after he allegedly admitted to beating his 85-year-old mother to death because his wife complained about her. Zeinab as-Sayyid Mahfouz died at a hospital in Alexandria on September 15 after what many speculated to be domestic violence. After reports of him beating his aged mother to death circulated online, social media users in Egypt demanded that he be brought to justice. It was learnt that Zeinab's daughter-in-law had complained to her son about her after which he brutally beat her up to please his wife.
