Body of Indianapolis Woman Found Near River After She Was Reported Missing

The body of a missing Indianapolis woman was found on Saturday morning near a sandbar near Flatrock River, authorities said.

 

Jacqueline Watts, 33, was reported missing Friday just after authorities found her car still running with the emergency blinkers on around 4:30 p.m, according to police.

The passenger door of her car was left open and her cellphone and purse were still inside.

Watts' sister-in-law, Jenn Watts Barrie, took to Facebook Friday to explain that Watts and her husband had been planning to fly to Washington, D.C., before she disappeared.

“She dropped their dogs off at my parents’ house and rabbit off at her parents’ house and no one heard from her afterward,” Barrie wrote in a post that has since been removed.  

Police later found Watts’ body a half-mile away from her abandoned vehicle.

Police said that the circumstances of her disappearance are suspicious but have not yet classified her death as a homicide, according to reports.

“At this point we’re not sure,” Lt. Matt Harris of the Columbus Police Department said at a press conference “We’re going to follow where the facts lead us.” (SO SAD)

NIGERIAN SECURITY AGENTS FOIL ISIS/BOKO HARAM PLOT TO BOMB UK AND US EMBASIES

Nigerian security forces say they have foiled a plot by ISIS-linked Boko Haram militants to bomb the British High Commission and US Embassy in the capital Abuja. The Department of State Services announced that it had arrested five suspects who were planning attacks. A DSS official said a suspected Boko Haram member who was arrested on March 22, in north-eastern Yobe state, confessed details of the plot. 30 NEW ILLEGAL REFINERIES FOUND IN RIVERS STATE

Victor Choji, the Executive Officer of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Pathfinder, Port Harcourt, said this during the destruction of one of the illegal refineries on Thursday. He said all the refineries were discovered in Asari Toru Local Government area of Rivers, with 40 huge metallic storage tanks . The News Agency of Nigeria reports that some of the storage tanks were filled with petroleum products suspected to be diesel and crude oil. Choji noted that the discovery was in continuation of the current mop-up of illegal refineries and illicit bunkering of petroleum products by crude oil thieves.
