Italy deports 37 Male Nigerians

       The Italian government has deported another batch of Nigerians for committing immigration-related offences in the country, just two weeks after it deported 33 Nigerians. The fresh 37 deportees arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMlA) Lagos, on Tuesday night.

     Nigerians who voluntarily returned from Libya disembarking from the aircraft on their arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport,Ikeja in Lagos on Tuesday.The deportees,who are all males,were brought back in a chartered aircraft with registration number OM-IEX.

     DSP Joseph Alabi, the spokesman of the Lagos Airport Police Command, confirmed the development. The deportees were received by officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) , the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and the Police.Also on ground to receive them were officials the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
     NAN gathered that the deportees were profiled by immigration authorities and were each given a stipend to facilitate their transportation to their respective states. On 23 February, Italy also sent 33 Nigerians back home.

2 FULANI HERDSMEN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY RAPING 14 YEAR OLD TEEN

Two Fulani herdsmen, Umar and Musa Ali, who are brothers, have been arrested by men of the Nasarawa State Police Command for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl at Tudun Lambaga in the Eggon Hills area, Eggon Local Government Area of the state. The victim, simply identified as Esther, was reportedly ambushed and assaulted by the suspects at a secluded part of the road. According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Nassarawa, DSP Kennedy Idirisu, Umar and Musa had been apprehended following a complaint by Esther’s parents. French police officer fatally shot three people on a street near Paris before killing himself, according to reports. The incident was part of an apparent domestic dispute in which the officer's girlfriend, her mother and sister were injured, the BBC reported. Her father and two passers-by were killed in the shooting which happened in the town of Sarcelles late on Saturday. The mayor of Sarcelles, north of Paris, said the woman had recently told her partner that she was breaking up with him, according to the BBC. An attempt by a mother of two children to smuggle a phone to her boyfriend in prison custody has been foiled by the officials of the Nigerian Prisons Service (NPS) in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The 33-year-old woman, Fatima Balogun who has been arrested by men of the Special Intelligence Unit of the NPS, carried out the action on Wednesday at the gate lodge of Abeokuta maximum Prisons in Ibara.
