Italy deports 37 Male Nigerians

       The Italian government has deported another batch of Nigerians for committing immigration-related offences in the country, just two weeks after it deported 33 Nigerians. The fresh 37 deportees arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMlA) Lagos, on Tuesday night.

     Nigerians who voluntarily returned from Libya disembarking from the aircraft on their arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport,Ikeja in Lagos on Tuesday.The deportees,who are all males,were brought back in a chartered aircraft with registration number OM-IEX.

     DSP Joseph Alabi, the spokesman of the Lagos Airport Police Command, confirmed the development. The deportees were received by officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) , the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and the Police.Also on ground to receive them were officials the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
     NAN gathered that the deportees were profiled by immigration authorities and were each given a stipend to facilitate their transportation to their respective states. On 23 February, Italy also sent 33 Nigerians back home.

The Commander , Joint Task Force (JTF), Operation Delta Safe (ODS), Rear Admiral Suleiman Apochi, and other top military officers have escaped drowning in the rivers of Ikang, Akpabuyo Local Government Area, Cross River State. Apochi and other sector commanders of ODS cheated death when they fell into the Ikang River according to a statement signed by the Coordinator, Joint Media Campaign Centre (JMCC), Maj. Ibrahim Abdullahi. But some of them were said to have sustained minor injuries and were given medical treatment. 3 SUSPECTED THIEVES ARRESTED AT THE LAGOS HIGH COURT

File Photo The Police at the Lion Building Division, Lagos Island, Lagos have arrested three suspected thieves who allegedly jumped into the High Court premises at Igbosere Road on Lagos Island at midnight with dangerous weapons to steal. The suspects, according to a Police source could not succeed in their plans before the Police stormed the scene to arrest them and took them to the station following a distress call to the Police by the securitymen attached to the Court. John Cena sold his new Ford GT car, but the company was not happy with his move. Ford is taking legal actions by suing the "American Grit" star for violating their contract by selling his new $500k 2017 Ford GT. According to the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Michigan, Cena was "selected from thousands of applicants for the opportunity to purchase the Ford GT," TMZ reported. WOMAN THREATENED WITH KNIFE DURING ATTEMPTED RAPE

A dog walker was attacked by a man who held a knife to her throat and attempted to rape her. The victim, aged in her 30s, was walking her two dogs on waste land, near to Bedford Avenue, in Walkden, when she was approached by a man just before 7pm last night (Sunday). The man asked her for the time, but then grabbed the woman and pulled her into some trees. He then threatened the victim with a knife and ordered her to hand over her jewellery. Police said the attacker then tried to rape the woman, but she managed to fight him off and fled from the scene. Greater Manchester Police are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with further information to come forward. The attacker is described as white, of stocky build and aged in his mid 30.
