         Police in Saudi Arabia said Wednesday they shot dead a member of the Islamic State group in the capital, the latest suspected jihadist to be killed by security forces. Officers were called at 6:00 pm (1500 GMT) on Tuesday to an apartment in Riyadh’s Al-Rayan district where the suspect was “flaunting his support” for the extremist group, the interior ministry said in a statement.

        “He started to resist and waved a gun which he was carrying,” forcing police to eliminate “the threat he posed,” the ministry added. Another suspect was arrested.IS has claimed a series of deadly shootings and bombings since late 2014 in Sunni-dominated Saudi Arabia.

           Most attacks have targeted the Shiite minority and security forces, killing dozens of people. IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has called for attacks against Saudi Arabia, a member of the US-led coalition battling the group in Syria and Iraq. On January 7, Saudi officers shot and killed two suspected jihadists including an explosive belt maker during a police operation in northern Riyadh.

Police officers The Ondo State Police Command says it had arrested three suspects in connection with the alleged kidnapping and killing of two female students of the Adeyemi College of Education in Ondo state. The Public Relations Officer of the command, Femi Joseph, revealed that one of the suspects was arrested on Friday after participating in a robbery operation in Ondo town, while the other accomplices were arrested on Saturday. Victims It was gathered that the two students, Oladepo Blessing and Oluwasemilore Mary, had earlier been declared missing, while their whereabouts was unknown. Two weeks after 171 Nigerians voluntarily returned home from Libya, 155 others followed suit on Thursday aboard a chartered Nouvel Air aircraft with registration number TS-1NB. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the aircraft landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at about 6.00 p.m. Like the initial group which returned on March 7 after being stranded in Libya while enroute Europe, the returnees were brought back by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the Nigerian Embassy in Libya. Danish police say the size of a headless female torso found on the sea's edge in Copenhagen suggests it could be that of a Swedish journalist who died after taking a submarine ride with the vessel's Danish inventor. Police said divers were still searching the area and they were investigating reports of other body parts that may have been spotted in Copenhagen harbour. Danish inventor Peter Madsen has been charged with killing Kim Wall , a Swedish journalist, in his home-made submarine.
