2 Months & Still in Prison:Nollywood's Seun Egbegbe Cries Out After Failing to Meet Bail Conditions

 Popular Nigerian film-maker, Seun Egbegbe, who has already spent two months in Ikoyi prison for theft, is crying out about the strict nature of his N5m bail which he was granted since February 24.

 Lagos based movie producer,Seun Egbegbe who was arrested and detained in February 2017 for allegedly attempting to defraud a couple of Bureau de Change operators, is crying out about the conditions of his bail.

 According to Goldmyne TV, the filmmaker is complaining about the strict nature of his N5million bail which he was granted since February 24, 2017.

 Seun Egbegbe, who has spent two months in Ikoyi prison for theft, revealed that he is unable to find two sureties with the profile required by the court.

 The judge had reportedly ruled that the two sureties in the like sum of N2.5 million each must be: (i) a civil servant on level 16 who deposits his international passport, and (ii) a property owner in Lagos metropolis who deposits a certificate of occupancy.

 Both sureties are also to be mandatorily profiled with their office and home addresses verified.

 “Where do they expect him to get the sureties who would leave their passports and certificates of occupancy with the court until the case which may last four years ends?,” a close associate of Egbebe stated.

 “Who will risk losing N2.5 million as surety for a case that has not even really started?,” the source added.

 Recall that on Monday, the controversial filmmaker, was arraigned for a third time for alleged serial frauds following the amendment of charges against him by the Nigerian Police.

A prophet of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C & S) Church in Lagos, Mr. Alimi Isaiah, 55, has been arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly being in possession of human skull and a horn. Barely one week after a policeman lost his service rifle to unknown gunmen, another policeman has been attacked and killed by unidentified hoodlums in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. LEEDS, Ala. A 12-year-old girl died Sunday after authorities believe she was accidentally shot by a family member during a gathering in Alabama, according to multiple reports. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the girl as Kayla Mendenhall, AL.com reported. Authorities told the news site that Kayla and an adult family member were wrestling when a gun worn by the adult discharged. Kayla was shot in the upper leg and died at a hospital.
