SUSPENDED SENATOR ALI NDUME


Some protesters have laid siege at the entrance of the National Assembly in Abuja, demanding the immediate reinstatement of suspended former Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume.

 The supporters have currently blocked the main entrance to the Assembly complex.

 Some of the protesters have banners with Ndume’s picture and their demands.

 Recall that the senate had last week Wednesday suspended Ndume for six months for raising allegations against the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Senator from Kogi West, Dino Melaye through order 14 and 15 at plenary.

 However, Saraki while addressing reporters on Monday said he has “no powers” to reverse the suspension of the former Senate Leader.

THE LATE BELOVED SENATOR ISIAKA ADELEKE Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, rescued an aide to Osun State Governor, Ms Idiat Babalola, from mob attack at the premises of the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke, on Monday. Six dead, tens injured in DEADLY highway crash  has claimed six -The accident involved a saloon car and a bus -Five of the deceased were from the saloon car Six people lost their lives early on Sunday morning after deadly accident involving a saloon car and a bus along the Londiani-Muhoroni-Kisumu Highway . The accident occurred when the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle and consequently swerved into the other lane, colliding with the Toyota Wish head-on. The meeting of the Federal Executive Council that holds every Wednesday did not hold yesterday. Yesterday would have afforded President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country on Saturday the opportunity of presiding over the council meeting for the first time in over three months. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed in a statement that the meeting would not hold. Adesina did not however disclose the reason behind the decision to cancel the meeting. Late Joy Odama Autopsy has revealed that Joy Odama who was allegedly killed by an Alhaji in Abuja, died after inhaling carbon monoxide fumes. Joy Odama, a 200 level undergraduate Mass Communication student at Cross River State University, according to her mother was murdered by Usman Adamu. Contrary to the bereaved woman's allegation, the police reports that the result of the autopsy found carbon monoxide fumes in her body. Former President, Mr Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed the theft of his property from his house in Abuja. He confirmed the incident in a statement by his spokesperson, Ikechukwu Eze, following some media reports that the home was stripped bare and some of the items stolen were being sold in markets.
