Police nabs 51-year-old man for allegedly having sex with 14 year old boy

The Abia State Police Command has arrested a 51-year-old man, Daniel Emeka for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old boy, Ndubuisi in a hotel in Aba area of the state.

 Parading the suspect on Monday at the Command’s headquarters in Umuahia, the state capital, the State Commissioner of Police, Adeleye Oyebade, said Emeka was apprehended, “following a tip-off that the suspect lured and abused young boys in his hotel.”

 The State Police boss disclosed that Ndubuisi’s mother identified simply as Ifeoma had reported the disappearance of her son on March 24, 2017, after which operatives placed the suspect’s hotel and house under surveillance.

 Oyebade said the 51-year-old was arrested when he attempted to escape from the state.

 Addressing reporters, Emeka admitted to taking Ndubuisi to his hotel room, but denied having canal knowledge of the victim.

 Emeka said, “I am a businessman. I come to Aba to buy goods, which I take to Lagos for sale. I do come to Aba with my son,who is 15-year-old. It was my son that brought the boy (Ndubuisi) to our room.

 “He told me that the boy was driven away by his mother after a quarrel, and since it was late in the night, I allowed the boy to sleep with us.”

An officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ekiti State, Sunday Afolabi, was shot dead on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, by gunmen. A source at the command of NSCDC, who spoke in confidence, said Afolabi was killed on Afao Road at 3.30 p.m. The late officer was killed barely one month after his wife was delivered of their first baby. But the police said Afolabi was killed by suspected “cult boys”. His body was recovered from the scene and deposited at a mortuary. NSCDC spokesman Tolu Afolabi confirmed the killing to reporters yesterday. He said investigation had begun into the incident to unmask the killers. Kogi herbalist to die by hanging for killing 2 brothers A herbal medicine practitioner and ritualist, Ibrahim Mohammed, has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing two brothers in Koton-Karfe area of Kogi State. He was accused of killing two brothers, Muhammed Kudu Abubakar and Umar Tanko. The herbalist was said to have administered poison on them before hitting them on the head with a pestle and then buried their corpses in a shallow grave in his compound.
