PHOTOS ;ANOTHER NOTORIOUS KIDNAP GANG ARRESTED

The Kogi State Police Command on Wednesday arrested three notorious kidnappers terrorizing the state, particularly Okene axis.

The suspects are Mohammed Abdulrazak 'm' 30year, Yusuf Abona Jafaru 'm' 27 years and Iliyasu Yusuf Nyamida 'm' 37 years.

The State Commissioner of Police Wilson Inalegwu at a press briefing in Lokoja noted that the arrest is part of the command onslaught against criminal activities such armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism, cattle rustling and other violent crimes in the state, through proactive crime preventing strategies.

Inalegwu said, "On the 30/08/2017 at about 9am, the Police Officers attached to OKENE Division on pin down duty stopped a Gulf Station Wagon, but the driver refused to stop, and was trying to escape but was given a hot chase by the operatives and eventually intercepted the car and arrested the three suspects at Okene Check point.


Items recovered from the suspects according to the Police Commissioner include; One Barreta Pistol with six rounds of live ammunition, One Tiger Pistol Revolver with twelve live ammunition, Nine Hand sets of different types, Small box containing surgical implements, One HP Laptop and One Ash colour Gulf station wagon Car with Reg. No. EKP 394 EX, EDO

"The Command will not rest on its oars until incidents of crime are reduced to it bearest minimum. We have the commitment,passion and the zeal to deliver on our mandate in ensuring adequate security of lives and property in Kogi State."

"The suspects will be arraigned in court on completion of investigation, while effort is on top gear to track down other members of the syndicate" the CP added.

He however admonished members of the public to continue to partner with the Police and other security agencies to make Kogi the safest state in Nigeria.

LOS ANGELES –  A missing 5-year-old boy's father has been released from jail in an unexpected twist that only deepens the mystery behind the boy's disappearance. Investigators on Tuesday decided against presenting the case to prosecutors and moving forward with charges against Aramazd Andressian Sr., who was found unconscious Saturday at a South Pasadena park. His son, Armazd Andressian Jr., was nowhere to be found and remains missing four days later. Andressian Sr. was arrested later Saturday on suspicion of child endangerment and abduction and was being held on $10 million bail before his release Tuesday. Authorities would say only that the investigation was continuing, and would not say whether the father remains a suspect. On Tuesday authorities searched Cachuma Lake in Santa Barbara County, but now don't believe the boy was there.

A suspected ritualist at Obadeyi area in Ijaiye A ritualist den was on Wednesday discovered in a tunnel at the challenge area of Mushin, Lagos, three weeks after a similar den was discovered in Ikeja. On 9 August, the police apprehended a suspected ritualist in a drainage channel at Ile-Zik, close to Ikeja, on the Lagos/Abeokuta Expressway. Concise News reported that a similar hideout was also uncovered at Obadeyi Ajala, in Ijaiye area. One of the suspected ritualists in the den discovered in Mushin is said to have been set ablaze, while two others were rescued by the Police from being lynched. Daily Sun reports that the tunnel where they were found leads to a moribund company. Syringes believed to be used in injecting their victims with sedative drugs were discovered in the hideout.

North  Korean leader Kim Jong Un has vowed he will launch more ballistic missiles into the Pacific Ocean a day after Pyongyang flew a missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead over Japan, North Korea's official news agency says.
