POLICE CHIEF ARRESTED FOR RITUAL KILLER'S ESCAPE FROM CUSTODY

A Divisional Police Officer in Rivers State (name withheld) has been arrested on the orders of the State Police Command for his alleged involvement in the escape of one Ifeanyi Dike, who killed an eight-year-old for alleged money ritual.

A reliable police source disclosed that the DPO, who was arrested on Monday, was deeply involved in telephone calls between him and Johnbosco Okoroeze, a dismissed police sergeant, which indicated that there was a premeditated action by him to allow the suspected ritual killer to escape.

It was gathered that while preparations were ongoing by both the father of the deceased, Dr. Ernest Nmezuwuba, and the suspect (Dike) to write their statements, several calls were received from the said DPO by Okoroeze.

The top police source said, "We have enough evidence to believe that the DPO was working hand in hand with the ex-sergeant, who has been remanded in police custody. The DPO has been arrested.

Even the father of the girl that was killed had said that there was communication with the IPO (dismissed sergeant) handling the matter and somebody that has not been disclosed. This happened while they were bringing the suspected ritual killer to the State Police Headquarters.

"All these and many more will serve as evidence against the DPO, who we believe has a lot to explain about his possible involvement in the escape of Ifeanyi Dike, who killed an eight-year-old girl,ostensibly for money ritual."

LOS ANGELES –  A missing 5-year-old boy's father has been released from jail in an unexpected twist that only deepens the mystery behind the boy's disappearance. Investigators on Tuesday decided against presenting the case to prosecutors and moving forward with charges against Aramazd Andressian Sr., who was found unconscious Saturday at a South Pasadena park. His son, Armazd Andressian Jr., was nowhere to be found and remains missing four days later. Andressian Sr. was arrested later Saturday on suspicion of child endangerment and abduction and was being held on $10 million bail before his release Tuesday. Authorities would say only that the investigation was continuing, and would not say whether the father remains a suspect. On Tuesday authorities searched Cachuma Lake in Santa Barbara County, but now don't believe the boy was there.

A suspected ritualist at Obadeyi area in Ijaiye A ritualist den was on Wednesday discovered in a tunnel at the challenge area of Mushin, Lagos, three weeks after a similar den was discovered in Ikeja. On 9 August, the police apprehended a suspected ritualist in a drainage channel at Ile-Zik, close to Ikeja, on the Lagos/Abeokuta Expressway. Concise News reported that a similar hideout was also uncovered at Obadeyi Ajala, in Ijaiye area. One of the suspected ritualists in the den discovered in Mushin is said to have been set ablaze, while two others were rescued by the Police from being lynched.
