3 WOUNDED AFTER BOTCHED ARMED ROBBERY ATTEMPT IN HARTFORD

This gun was recovered from the scene of a shooting on Standish Street in Hartford Sunday. Police say the suspect attempted to rob two men, but the victims fought back and struggled for the gun.

Hartford police have arrested a man accused of pulling a gun and attempting to rob two other men on Standish Street Sunday evening.

The incident took place around 6:30 p.m. at 43/45 Standish Street. According to police, 39-year-old Delfone Harvey pulled a gun on the victims and attempted to rob them, but the victims fought back, struggling with Harvey. During the struggle, two of the men suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and the third suffered injuries to his fingers.

Police said that the suspect was forced out of the home through a front porch window and suffered injuries from the shattered glass.

None of the injuries were life-threatening, police said. The suspect was known to the victims.

Harvey was charged with assault with a firearm, attempted robbery, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal use of a firearm, and theft of a firearm.

Police said the toddler was injured September 20 at the M.E.M. Preschool and Summer Camp on Macon road while he was being watched by Omeika Williams. An Ile-Ife Magistrate Court has remanded one Isreal Ojimi, 38, said to be a prophet and Bose Adetimikan, 27, in prison custody over alleged rituals. The prosecutor, Inspector Emmanuel Abdullahi, told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 20, 2017, around 10:00 pm at Mosarajo area via Ile-Ife. According to him, they had armed themselves with some charms in the form of a garment with an intention to commit felony. The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, May 9, remanded a politician identified as Charles Eni-Umukoro over the murder of his wife, Louisa Eni-Umukoro, who was a director in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Amilcar Henriquez shot dead in his Panama home . Police in Panama say national team soccer player Amilcar Henriquez has been shot dead while leaving his home. The press chief for Panama’s National Police says the killing happened Saturday in the country’s Colon province. Authorities say a gunman shot the 33-year-old midfielder several times. Another two people were wounded. The player died at a nearby hospital. President Juan Carlos Varela has condemned the killing on his Twitter account.
