FORMER RESIDENT OF FORT LEONARD WOOD SENTENCED TO 30 YEARS IN JAIL FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE.

 FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. - A Brattleboro, Vt., man has been sentenced in federal court for the aggravated sexual abuse of a child at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

According to an official press release, Paul Kickery Sr., 68, of Brattleboro, formerly of Fort Leonard Wood, was sentenced on Thursday to 30 years and four months in federal prison without parole.

On Jan. 26, 2017, Kickery pleaded guilty to the aggravated sexual abuse of a child.

According to court documents, the victim said that she had been sexually assaulted by Kickery multiple times during 2013 to 2014. The victim was under the age of ten.

Both Kickery and the victim were living on the U.S. Army Military Base at Fort Leonard Wood.

When interviewed by law enforcement, Kickery admitted to sexually abusing the victim and also admitted to molesting a 15-year-old child while he lived in Vermont. Kickery admitted to viewing child pornography on the internet as well.

POLICE INTERCEPT TWO VEHICLES CARRYING ARMS

The Zamfara State Police Command on Wednesday intercepted two vehicles carrying arms in different parts of the state. The spokesman of the command, Muhammad Shehu, confirmed the development in Gusau. He told the News Agency of Nigeria that items recovered from the vehicles were three AK47 riffles, an automatic pistol, locally-made pistol, magazines and live ammunitions. According to him, other items recovered include N103, 435 cash, ATM card, three voters’ cards, military camouflage and a stamp of the Cattle Traders Association of Nigeria in the Bukuru Local Government Area of Plateau. GUNMEN WAYLAY BUS IN RIVERS, KIDNAP 19 OCCUPANTS

Kidnappers struck again in Rivers State on Thursday, waylaying an 18-seater bus and abducting the 19 occupants of the vehicle, including the driver. It was gathered that the incident happened on Isiokpo-Elele Road in the Ikwerre Local Government Area, about 30 kilometres from Agip Junction in Port Harcourt, where the bus branded, Rivers Mass Transit Company, took off. Sources explained that the kidnappers, who were 10 in number and heavily armed, blocked the road and forced the bus to stop as soon as it (bus) approached them.
