The Imo State Police Command has paraded five suspects in connection with the murder of Reverend Father Cyriacus Onunkwo.

This comes four days after the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Chris Ezike, confirmed the kidnap and subsequent killing of the priest. 

Onunkwo was murdered after he was reportedly snatched from his vehicle by gunmen on Friday last week in Orlu Local Government Area of the state.

On September 3, Ezike said the remains of the clergyman was discovered in a bush the following day following a manhunt.

A 45-year-old suspected ritualist who was arrested by the Police in Lagos with a human skull, has disclosed that he sold fresh human skull for N1 million. The suspect, Lucien Tusume, was arrested at Iraye village in Sagamu area of Ogun State, following intelligence report. Explaining the circumstance that led to the arrest of the suspected ritualist, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Olarinde Famous-Cole, said some policemen, who disguised as buyers, contacted the suspect for a human skull. The suspect reportedly agreed to sell a dried skull for N150,000 to the undercover operatives, but the officers bargained for N81,000 which he accepted.The suspect later took the dried human skull to the 'buyers', and he was subsequently arrested after payment was made to him. T wenty six year-old Alice Awuor Omito from Rongo, Migori County, Kenya, has shocked many after confessing that preparing the dead for burial is the one thing that makes her happy. The employee of Rosewood Funeral Home in Rongo said that she dropped out of nursing school after fears that she would not secure employment after school. The mortician began working as a morgue attendant at Star Mortuary in Kisumu two years ago, aged 24 before transferring to Rosewood in Rongo and says that she can't imagine being away from the dead. The half-brother of North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un was carrying an antidote to the poison which killed him at the time of his death, Malaysian state media reported. Malaysia's High Court heard this week Kim Jong Nam had 12 doses of atropine in his sling bag when he was allegedly swabbed with VX nerve agent in Kuala Lumpur International Airport on February 13, news agency Bernama said. AKINJIDE,OLUTI REMANDED FOR FRAUD

A Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan has ordered that a former Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Oloye Jumoke Akinjide and another chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state, Chief Olanrewaju Otiti be remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the N650 million fraud allegedly collected to fund the 2015 election in the state. The court also ordered the anti-graft body to produce unfailingly the second defendant in the case, Senator Ayoade Adeseun who has failed to appear in court to face trial over the alleged fraud. MAN IN CUSTODY FOR ASSAULT ON PREGNANT WOMAN February 22, 2017; An Osun Magistrate Court sitting in Ile-Ife has docked one Dayo Adebayo, 29, for alleged assault on a pregnant woman.   The prosecutor, Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the accused committed the offence on February 13, around 11:45 pm at Ehindi Street, Ile-Ife.Osanyintuyi, said Adebayo assaulted the woman named Blessing Monday, by hitting her with his fist across her face, causing various injuries.He added that the offence was contrary to and punishable under section 356 of the Criminal Code (Cap 34 Vol 11), Laws of Osun, 2002.
