MEMPHIS AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING EARLY MORNING HOMICIDE OFF STATELINE ROAD

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Authorities are investigating an early morning homicide just off of Stateline Road.
Initial reports indicated the 20-year-old victim was inside a car at the Ashland Lakes Apartments around 3 a.m. when he was shot. Two individuals rushed him to the Olive Branch Methodist Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The driver and passenger were detained for questioning by Olive Branch.
Detectives are in the process of collecting evidence, if any, from the car and the scene.
No suspect information is available.

Suspected Internet fraudsters, popularly called Yahoo boys , have turned the Facebook page of the Special Fraud Unit of the Nigeria Police Force into an avenue to advertise their skills. The suspects, through a series of comments, demanded between N5,000 and N50,000 from those who wanted to learn classified sites for defrauding people, especially foreigners, and offered options of online, as well as physical teaching platforms. Hundreds of persons, including students, graduates and ladies, indicated interest in learning the skills for making quick money and provided their mobile numbers on the SFU Facebook page. The comments were reactions to a post by the SFU sensitising the public to Internet fraud. A bloody clash between the army and police in Nigeria's restive northeastern Yobe state on Wednesday left one soldier and three police dead, a security source told AFP.  The police confirmed the fracas in the state capital of Damaturu, but did not say if there were casualties.  "The Nigeria police force is abreast of the unfortunate incident that occurred in the early hours of today 12th April, 2017 in Damaturu between the personnel of the force and that of the Nigerian army," police spokesman Jimoh Moshood said in a statement.  He said an investigation had been launched to determine "the causes of the incident and deal with the situation appropriately to prevent such occurrence in the future".  The army authorities were not immediately available for comment.
