Ms Hansen's family said they were shocked and devastated by her death.

A 20-year-old man has been charged following a fatal hit and run that killed a Melbourne nurse, Victorian police have confirmed.

The 20-year-old was arrested at an address in Fulton Road in Blackburn South on Thursday evening.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives say he has been charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death, fail to stop after collision with a fatality, fail to render assistance after fatal collision, theft of motor vehicle and drive whilst disqualified.
Ms Hansen initially survived the crash but died despite the best efforts of nearby residents who came to her aid.
She was remembered by her family as a compassionate and caring woman who worked as a cardiac nurse.

She was about to start a new job at a large private hospital.

They said Ms Hansen led a "dedicated spiritual life", loved yoga, sang in a gospel choir and enjoyed overseas travel and caring for her elderly mother.
The man will be presented before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Members of Boko Haram Boko Haram insurgents have killed six men in a village in northeast Nigeria on Tuesday in what appeared to be a targeted reprisal attack. A militia fighting the group said nine Boko Haram fighters allegedly entered Kijimatari, a village in north-east Borno state, at around 2 am (0100 GMT), breaking into the homes of six men including the village chief before slitting their throats. "The attackers evaded a nearby military checkpoint by entering the village through bush paths," said Ibrahim Liman, the head of a local anti-jihadist militia force.   Evidence has emerged of another Islamic State militant group (ISIS) mass execution, this time in the Syrian Christian desert town of Al-Qaryatain.   The militant group killed at least 116 civilians in executions committed in the days before the Syrian regime recaptured the town, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a U.K.-based monitoring group with an extensive network of contacts in Syria.   "ISIS has over a period of 20 days executed at least 116 civilians in reprisal killings, accusing them of collaboration with regime forces," SOHR chief Rami Abdelrahman told the Agence France-Presse news agency.   ISIS regained control of the town three weeks ago, and then the killings began. A Danish inventor charged with killing a Swedish journalist in his homemade submarine has told investigators she died in an accident on board the vessel — changing his earlier statement that he dropped her off alive before it sank, police say. Peter Madsen, 46, is charged over the suspected death of Kim Wall, who has been missing since he took her out to sea in his 17-metre-long submarine on August 10. Madsen has previously said he left her in Copenhagen before the UC3 Nautilus sank south of the city, but has now changed his story, police said.
